"Cool looking, Comfortable, but Quality not so"
Purchased this jacket, twice. Returned the first one due to uneven dye job on the jacket. Orange jacket with red spots in places. Got second Orange jacket. Good but jacket liner was not fully sewn into the jacket. Not the North Face quality I expect.Moosejaw customer service is Awesome though.
I tested this jacket as a liner under a Gortex shell on several short hikes in mild temperatures and did not experienced excessive overheating/sweating. Any moisture I generated just passed through my clothing, through the Blaze Micro, and finally through the shell. I wouldn't want to use this mainly as an outer jacket since it's neither water nor wind resistant but it does make an almost ideal liner under a wind/waterproof shell. The fit, finish and design of the Blaze Micro is typical North Face high quality. I've ordered 2 more of these jackets for the rest of my family to enjoy.
"This is a mens coat but I bought it for me! LOVE the color!!"
Because I bought a mans coat, it is a little big but the color and stitching is very cool! This is perfect for fall and spring hikes and soccer games. Light and breathable but still so warm! On really long hikes in fall, I may layer a North Face thermal jacket underneath for the extra warmth! Now my husband wants this in Gray.
I purchased this as a light weight jacket that I will be able to take backpacking with me. It most certainly did not disappoint on the light weight side, and works quite well as an every day jacket was well! I use it when I am trekking across campus and it keeps me plenty warm in the chilly SLC winter weather.
North face tends to be tough with sizing, sleeves are a little short, shouldn't be a problem if you don't suffer from having long arms. if you do, as I do. make sure to check sleeve length in each size before purchasing.
This jacket is true to size, allows some roominess for layering, great for traveling as its ultra light yet warm, perfect for my son whom lives in SanDiego on a cold eve and when he visits NewEngland for the winter holidays...
