"Great jacket for the money"  01/15/12

This was my first TNF purchase and I am very happy with the results. It is a very warm and waterproof jacket even on the coldest, snowiest day Michigan has to offer. I agree with many of the other reviewers as well.Pros:WarmDryInner fleece and outer shell both useful while detached from one another.Good pocket placement and largeCons:You definitely have to order one size larger than what you typically wearThe inner fleece lining rides up in the backThe hood is a bit large even with a large knit cap.I would definitely recommend to anyone that adventures in a variety of climates and weather conditions.

"Very nice jacket."  12/29/11

I bought this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. He has been wearing the fleece separately for now, but will wear the full jacket when it gets a bit colder. Thanks Moosejaw for offering such a great selection of North Face items.

"Pretty neat, pretty bulletproof jacket."  12/26/11

I got this jacket for my fiance, and his lanky, 6'3, 180lb frame fits perfectly in size large, even with his long monkey arms. He also has no issues with tightness in the underarms of this jacket despite oversized shoulders. The Atlas feels bulletproof. All zippers and velcro feel as if they are meant to last and keep on trucking. The outer layer does have a somewhat loud crinkle to it, but it's not ridiculous or anything. The inner layer is cozy, and doesn't have the awkward look that some 3-in-1 inner liners have. The only thing overlooked is the zipper that holds the two layers together doesn't have a garage for the tabs at the top, so they get quite chilly against an exposed chin.

"Had this about 3 weeks, not all that happy with it."  12/12/11

My one and only problem with this jacket is that the zip-in fleece tends to ride up. What I mean is when I put it on, the fleece in the back rides up so I have to reach behind me and pull it down. If I don't unvelcro (I know it's not a word) the sleeves before putting it on, the same thing happens with the sleeves. I can't believe no on else has mentioned these issues with this jacket. What others here have said is true about the size being off, if your a large get an extra large (I found that out the hard way). This jacket would have great if only the fleece had been attached directly to the jacket. I guess It's my fault for buying a 3 in 1.

"Awesome and warm!"  12/07/11

Got this is the mail yesterday for myself, the womens was too short. Awesomely enough it snowed today, so i got to use it. Very warm i just had a T-shirt on underneath it an was fine walking around campus and to class. I like that it has the fleece layer that comes out, this will come in handy in the spring/fall when you don't need a heavy coat. It also has a nice weight to it and is nicely made, I can't wait to continue to enjoy it this winter and many more to come.

"By Far the Best Yet"  12/06/11

This by far is the warmest jacket I have ever owned, I work outside in the cold, rain and snow and have yet to get cold wearing this jacket. Extremely water proof, I have been drenched and stayed completely dry on the inside. Run a tad small, upsize to wear with a sweater or thick shirts.

"3 for 1 is always a great value"  12/04/11

I've had this for a year now, and I have no complaints. The waterproofing hasn't held up, but I'm sure a Nikwax wash will restore it. I often wear the fleece on its own as it's pretty warm. Though it's a bit heavy, you can roll up the shell into the hood so it's packable if you wanted. I'm 5'7" 140lbs and have a medium which fits big on me. I really wish I had a small.

"Great Jacket, Great Fit!!!"  12/02/11

Decided to pull the trigger on the Atlas jacket and I'm glad I did. I was looking at the Cassius but didn't want the bulk of the down inner jacket the Cassius had. I like fleece jackets but I hate the way they grab your clothes. I was very happy to find the inner fleece jacket on the Atlas had a mesh material inside the sleeves which made putting it on very effortless. Had someone mentioned that in another review I would have purchased this jacket a few weeks ago. Great jacket!!!!!!

"Great Jacket"  11/28/11

This jacket is very warm, almost to the point where you only need 1 shirt under it to stay warm on colder days. In my experiences, this jacket has been very waterproof, a great attribute to have for a long day on the slopes. The only thing that I can complain about with this jacket is that it is slightly tight under the armpits. If you have broad shoulders or bigger arms, this may be a tad uncomfortable, but for my size and build it is perfect. I also like that the fleece on the inside can zip out and be worn around without looking like someone who unzipped a fleece from a jacket. It is true to its name and is stylish in 3 ways.

"Jack of all trades"  11/28/11

3 jackets in one is accurate - each suited well for a particular time of year. The entire jacket is quality and I foresee it being one of my most used items in my wardrobe due to the versatility. Materials are nice and fit is perfect. Love it!
