Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works with your smart device as expected I owned the Etip gloves from a few years ago and I can tell you the new Etip gloves feel much more streamlined than before. My old pair had too much going on with the design that they put on the palm side. These look cleaner and also feel great on your hands. They are also true to size. Don't expect these to keep your hands warm on cold days when it's near freezing out, but it's better than not having any gloves on. They work great with your smartphone or tablet! If there were any negatives about this, and I'm nitpicking here, is that TNF went with a printed on logo instead of a stitched one. I would recommend these to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extremely smooth swiping on your mobile phone, but not good enough for the real winter. I haven't encountered a better pair of gloves that allows you to play with a smartphone without having to have naked fingers. These will keep your hands warm as long as the temperature is above 40 F. Its thermal functionality decreases close to none once the temperature is nearing or below 30 F. So, keep in mind that these are not for traveling in a snow wonderland. But, the gloves are pretty awesome for driving since the silicone surface provides very firm grip on the wheel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great glove for an active/techy person! I bought these gloves for my daughter who always has her phone in hand! I wanted to make sure she could stay warm and still be able to use her phone; normally only one wins! These gloves are working out perfectly. They are a snug fit so they feel really comfortable and they're warm enough for her to wear outside in the cold Michigan weather. If she were going to go sledding, snowboarding these gloves would need an added layer. But just for normal everyday wear these are perfect! The grip in the palm area makes it easy to hold on to your phone and the Etip works great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in the city I originally got these to have for some cold mornings morning while camping in the fall. They are comfortable and warm enough, except when they get wet (rolling up a dew covered tent for example) but they would dry reasonably quickly. Though they didn't quite meet all my camping needs, they are my favorite gloves for around the city because they are comfortable and the Etip really works very well. Some other gloves with touch screen compatibility that I have had required me to push pretty hard to get the touch screen to respond or would have only a small patch that is never quite where you want it making it impossible to type in both cases. With these, the entire palm and finger is functional, I can use my phone and tablet exactly as though I wasn't wearing gloves. They also keep out the Western New York fall chill, especially from cold steering wheels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gloves that contradict themselves. The most cool warm gloves I have ever owned. I love the look fit and feel and they allow you to text your bff while wearing them..even if your bff is actually your dog that you taught how to text because you have Noone else to text and then your own dog doesn't even text you back after YOU bought them the phone and put them on your plan and instead they are texting YOUR so called friends instead of you and then they start hanging out with out you and making excuses as to why I wasn't invited. Yeah. I like the gloves. 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great with touch screen but... If you need cold weather gloves (below 39 degrees), get a different pair! These don't have very much warmth and I'm really disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great driving gloves, working do anything gloves I bought theses gloves in green maybe a month ago for my husband , I was I jealous I wished I would have gotten myself a pair along with my son and daughter. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buy for warmth, not so much for touch screens So, I bought these to use as a driving glove in the winter, and for hikes in chilly fall / spring mornings. For that it does do a good job, has kept me warm enough down to the mid 30's with no complaints.,,,,But, when it comes to using the touch screen features, it's only so-so. I can swip the screen, key in my password, make a call, and launch apps. But, to select a podcast or play list to listen to, no matter how steady I keep my finger the iPhone thinks I'm trying to sweep up or down. I have to take the glove off to make a selection. I think the problem is that the little contact strips on the fingers don't go all the way to the tip of the glove, whereas my finger does. So, when my fingertip is touching the screen the strips don't. There's about 1/2" of finger that isn't covered with the strips.

Can I wear it under -20 degree?

Asked by: Jimmy
Thanks for the question! I actually have these gloves. I use them for driving in the Winter. They do not offer any insulation, so I would not wear them in negative temperatures. I would check out the Men's Montana Etip Gloves or the Men's Apex+ Etip Gloves. Unfortunately, The North Face does not temperature rate any of their products. So I can't say for sure which glove would be best for which temperatures. They do offer one goose-down option, but it is a mitt-style and is not touchscreen compatible. I included links below for you to check them out. Hope this helps!
