"Excellent functionality, balanced size, comfortable for long rides." 01/14/12

Took this bag to Lake Tahoe and British Columbia for a total of 2 weeks in slushy crap and powder, respectively. A small drain hole in the bottom drains out water if it gets in. Buckles that hold your board/skis are metal (awesome!) not plastic! This bag is comfortable. Averaged ~4 hours straight of wearing the pack with ~6 hours of on/off with the pack per day. You can dial in the fit with the various straps. Comfortable back panel; stiff enough so your gear doesn’t poke you, but still can bend with you. I used the ice axe holder for my trek pole/camera boom; keeps it secure and away from your head, even during a crash. Weight of this pack is dedicated to function, no bells/whistles BS.

"Phenomenal Sidecountry Bag" 11/13/11

Excellent internal organization for safety gear. Stow able ski/board/snowshoe straps won't catch on things like lifts or bears. Slim profile remains out of your way and is lift friendly. Very durable and lightweight. Standard sized hydration pouch holds insulated camelbak bladder. Wish it had slightly more food room. Side country approved!
