Have the regular size of this bag and have been using it since 2008 in the mountains and the desert. Overall the bag is pretty decent, it's been through varying conditions and everything is still together - no holes or tears for example so workmanship and materials used in the bag's construction are excellent. It is a bit tight in the shoulder area for me (I'm 5'11") so getting comfortable sometimes can be a challenge. My only wish is if it would pack down a little smaller. For the price though one of the better 3 season bags you could get in my opinion.
I have tried it and I am NOT impressed. First things first, there is no room inside, I am 6'1", skinny, 42 in shoulders and I could not fit into the long version of the bag. There is no room for the legs or for the shoulders. That's why the bag is so light (and possibly warm though I cannot comment on that). I have bought Kelty Cosmic Down instead, no regrets.I usually don't write the reviews for the products that didn't cut it for me but to be honest, I just can't figure out why cat's meow gets so much buzz.
"Great bag. Nice feel. Great zipper. Feels like a down bag"

I have down bags but I wanted something that I can use in spring with all the rains without worrying about the bag becoming useless. This thing feels super nice. I have read a few reviews about the zipper not being up to par. I just would like to say that I have had zero problems with the zipper. Not only that but it seems to be better then my other bags. The temp rating seems to be spot one. I was only able to test it at 27 deg. The Bag compresses to the size of a volley ball. All in all I very happy with the cat meow and I'm sure I will have it for many many years to come. Thanks Moosejaw.
got the regular (guy at REI said I HAD to get the long) and the regular fits perfectly!you could probably even do 6'1".super warm-although I haven't tested the limits yet.warmth, weight, compressibility, you cannot beat this bag
"Cat’s Meow, don’t really like the name, but the bag WORKS!"

This is an all around great bag, kept me warm on a 30-40 degree night with no problems! The zipper has a pretty cool glow feature, helps get out in the middle of the night, and even though it snagged on the bag, it did not rip, so the material seems pretty tough! My only grip is with the included stuff sack, and although it is included for “free,” it has some faults. Mainly with only having 3 compression straps, it makes the bag an awkward shape when compressed, so I will probably buy a new compression bag, other than that, it was worth the money!
This is my first bag and my GF and I did a five day in the Smokies. It got down to be relatively cold a couple nights, especially when it rained, and I was fine. At one point I had to open it up b/c my GF was getting cold. I would recommend this bag to anyone.
It's been a remarkably warm bag for me at only 20 degrees. I've pushed this to a 4 degree night and it held up like a champ. It's a very good synthetic bag and is priced beautifully. It can attract moisture i've noticed however if your rainfly system doesn't allow for proper ventilation but that's mostly my own ignorance. GREAT BUY
This sleeping bag is quite the great buy! While not to expensive like many other bags it is perfectly priced, great for summer camping or early fall camping. Also, for traveling it rolls up into a small sack that is pretty light weight... Only trouble is it takes a little time and patience to get it rolled up small, but it is doable!
