Rated 4 out of 5 by from light synthetic and warm I bought this after going backpacking and being hit by snow without expecting it (we checked the forecast) I had brought my 40F bag with liner figuring it would be enough. I was glad I had brought the 40F bag because it was light; but at night I regretted it. It was really cold in the 40F bag. After that trip I bought this bag and went on another trip. No liner, just stuffed it in the bag and went on my way. It is very warm and very comfortable. The only complaint I have is around the foot area. I had read (and a friend that has one told me) that it tends to get damp at the feet area. I experienced it myself, but it wasn't a big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes climbing into your bag at night a treat! Both me and my girlfriend were looking to upgrade our sleeping bags before our big trip to the Adirondacks. We both settled on the Cat's Meow after seeing it in person at our local Moosejaw store. ,,,,The bags are very comfy in all regions, the hoods extra padded and fits well around your head. A nice little touch is the glow-in-the-dark zipper pull for help finding the zipper for the quick exits to the use the woods in the middle of the night. At 6'1" the Regular was snug, but not uncomfortable at all. Get the long if you prefer more room, but personally I don't mind. Anyone over my height should probably upgrade to the long.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value I just spent 2 nights in the Black River State Forest, Wisconsin. I took the Cat's Meow out for the first time, expecting to be disappointed with all the complaints about temperature rating.,,,,Most of the night was around 32F, but around 3am it dropped to 26F. The humidity was 100% most of the night (didn't find this out until I got home). I was comfortable all night, only felt slightly cold when I woke around 4am.,,,,For $100-130 this is a great deal for anyone. It's comfortable and kept me warm when I expected it to. They only downfall I noticed was how it was more restrictive with movement. I like to stretch a little more then it allowed. That may be another synthetic vs. down issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag. Nice feel. Great zipper. Feels like a down bag I have down bags but I wanted something that I can use in spring with all the rains without worrying about the bag becoming useless. This thing feels super nice. I have read a few reviews about the zipper not being up to par. I just would like to say that I have had zero problems with the zipper. Not only that but it seems to be better then my other bags. The temp rating seems to be spot one. I was only able to test it at 27 deg. The Bag compresses to the size of a volley ball. All in all I very happy with the cat meow and I'm sure I will have it for many many years to come. Thanks Moosejaw.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great starter bag The Cat's Meow is a great sleeping bag and is reasonably priced if you are just getting into camping, overall, if you're buying your first bag, this is definitely the way to go. I used this bag on a 15 degree overnight low trip and I was freezing all night - this was partly my fault as it was little too cold for this bag, but I thought it would be ok. If you camp somewhere where the temperatures drop fairly low on a regular basis, then I'd definitely invest in a warmer bag. But, I live in Texas, and it doesn't get that cold here that often and this bag suffices most of the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very form, keeps you dry dear fellow customer,,, I noticed that you are looking for a sleeping bag, well congratulations you have found this bag. Not only will this bag keep you warm (with a liner if under 30 degrees)but it will also keep you dry! I was sleeping under the clouds for my ordeal weekend for Boy scouts of america's order of the arrow, when suddenly the clouds collected too much water vapor and rained down. My loosely wrapped tarp wasn't enough for this. when our leaders told us to pack up our sleeping bags, I crawled outa my bag and the outside was soaked, but I was warm and toasty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Bag for 3 Season Use Have the regular size of this bag and have been using it since 2008 in the mountains and the desert. Overall the bag is pretty decent, it's been through varying conditions and everything is still together - no holes or tears for example so workmanship and materials used in the bag's construction are excellent. It is a bit tight in the shoulder area for me (I'm 5'11") so getting comfortable sometimes can be a challenge. My only wish is if it would pack down a little smaller. For the price though one of the better 3 season bags you could get in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cat’s Meow, don’t really like the name, but the bag WORKS! This is an all around great bag, kept me warm on a 30-40 degree night with no problems! The zipper has a pretty cool glow feature, helps get out in the middle of the night, and even though it snagged on the bag, it did not rip, so the material seems pretty tough! My only grip is with the included stuff sack, and although it is included for “free,” it has some faults. Mainly with only having 3 compression straps, it makes the bag an awkward shape when compressed, so I will probably buy a new compression bag, other than that, it was worth the money!
