The North Face Boy's Vortex Triclimate Jacket is a winter jacket for spending time on the slopes and snowball fights on the playground. One jacket for waterproof protection, ready to keep him dry in snow, slush and even rain. The other jacket is a fleece, capable of being worn alone when the weather is mild through fall or spring but zips right into the shell when winter comes through. If he's getting stir crazy inside the house, throw this jacket system on him and let him run around in the snow for a few hours. It'll cure cabin fever...at least until the next day.

Great for playing in the snowBought this for my 9yr old and he's worn it every day since it we got it. The website suggested we buy an extra small based on my son's height/weight (he's on the smaller side for his age), but we went to the small and it fits him perfect (4'2 around 60 lbs), and I'm sure it will still fit next year. Jacket keeps the wind out and stays dry and warm. Highly recommended

I bought this coat for my 10 year old. He is a big kid, I bought the XL and it fits great, with room to grow. The coat is completely waterproof, however the fleece liner is a bit thin for my liking. He says it keeps him warm, but we had a cold front come in and he wore it with another north face hoodie and he complained he was too hot!! Overall great buy! Very pleased.
