"Freaking amazing bag!" 06/10/13
I picked up a large bag in yellow(of course yellow) for road tripping on my motorcycle. It fits perfectly across the back seat and across my two hard boxes. Tying this down is ridiculously easy as well, seeing as there are a million and one spots to do so that line this bag. I've never had this bag fall off my bike at high speeds, but I'm guessing if it did; it would survive the incident no problem and probably take out a car or two!As far space, I can fit everything I need for a few months in here(I'm a bit of a minimalist though), I almost have too much room!
"This is the best Duffel I have ever had." 06/09/13
I can tell this thing is gonna last a long time and its huge. What else can you ask for? Ha Ha Seriously though, great duffel, and I would totally recommend this to anyone from a Bad Ass Mo Fo to someone who just wants a cool bag.
"the last duffel you will buy" 05/23/13
I finally caved and bought the TNF base camp because:1. Every other duffel has been inferior in some way (but it cost less)2. It is actually a value if you don't have to keep buying new bags because they failSo now I have it and have experienced:1. No problems putting a 4 pc flyrod tube inside with my other stuff2. Material strong enough to laugh off attacks from studded wading shoes3. Stuffing it like a thanksgiving turkey and not having a seam fail in transit4. Using the straps which are actually ergo enough for hauling weight over a reasonable distanceJust wish I'd done it soonerCan't wait to shove my ski boots in there and hand it off to some airline when the snow flies.
"Buy this duffel!" 05/23/13
Bottom line... Amazing bag! Bought this duffel (Large) for my NOLS India trip coming up. It literally swallows everything you dump into it. Durable straps and a high quality all around. I will be using this for every international trip I take from now on. If you travel a lot you can't find a better bag. Also, after getting the large I don't know why you'd ever need an XL unless your bringing everything including the kitchen sink... And maybe the fridge.
"If you live out of your car between adventures, get this." 04/23/13
We have three large size duffels and after totally abusing them in dirt, snow and ice they look practically new. Large size can easily fit ski gear-helmet,boots,avi pack, clothes or summer things like a small tent,2 fly rods, 2 compressed sleeping bags and hiking boots. Our labrador loves snoozing on the large size, so it doubles as a dog bed. Great for car camping or traveling. The backpack straps make it easy to carry. You can even carry one on your back, one on your front and still have an extra hand to walk the dog. Get one (or two) and you won't be disappointed!
"The best bag money can buy to move ur self with ur gear" 04/20/13
The XL is a MONSTER I travel on foot the XL was too big and is now my cycling bag it swallows all my cycling gear with ease. I am a bigger guy the XL is challenging to carry up a flight of stairs with a bicycle. The XS is small I use it as a school backpack, riding back pack. The medium is the bag I wish I bought the first time great for international trips, if it doesn't fit in this bag you need to stop being a diva and leave some crap at home. When smuggling a bunch of wine from Germany in XL I noticed bottles hurting my back digging in, I have been told to put cardboard on top of the wine (part facing your back when pack is on) and it would significantly increase the comfort.
"The North Face Base Camp Duffel Large" 04/09/13
This duffel bag is far superior to all the rest of the duffel bags in this universe. I travel to and from India and the United States frequently and this is the most perfect, strong and tear proof bag I have ever used! I love the red and black color as it stands out amongst all the other luggage! I can fit SO much stuff in these bags, and far more weight then I could put in suitcases. I am so glad I have made the switch from heavy, awkward suitcases to these lightweight duffels!
