The North Face Banchee 65 Pack is a lightweight backpack for larger loads and multiple days out on the trail. The Banchee 65 is a top-loading pack with a load capacity of 50 pounds. The lid floats, allowing you to cinch additional gear up top when you just can't stuff any other items inside. The beaver tail front allows for a jacket to be jammed in on the outside with ultra-quick access, in case the skies open and rain decends. The eight-plus pockets provide organization so you don't have to hunt for your headlamp when you arrive at camp in the dark. The OPTIFIT harness system pulls the load in against your body and adjusts to fit you properly for comfort during the long haul.

Not bad but not greatI returned this product before taking it on a hike. I live next to Sequoia National Park/ JMT/ Yosemite and bear vaults needed. My pack usually weighs 30lbs before I fill my water bladder. I couldn't fit my bear vault in the main compartment and although it fit in the sleeping bag compartment, it resulted in my center mass being too low. The bladder sleeve was too small and there wasn't much room for a bladder to begin with. These two issues meant I'm sticking with my older, and much heavier backpack for now.
Other concerns were the thin materials for the bottom and the lacking comfort where the should strap went near my armpit. I tried it on next to an osprey Aether and decided to return it.

Best for the light traveler.I got an advance of this bag from the Northface and started testing it out. I really hate strapping a ton of sh!t to the outside of my bag, and this bag certainly doesn't provide a lot of concessions to those who want to do that sort of thing. It's definitely the smallest 65 liter bag I've seen, but I am able to comfortably fit enough gear for a four day trek inside, and could go for more if I put my sleeping pad and/or tent on the outside. Another thing to note is that the outside pockets may suck for some people - if you're in the habit of sticking a water bottle in one of the side pockets rather than using a bladder, you can forget about it, and the back pockets only have enough room for a couple necessities(snacks, water filtration and a raincoat for me). Overall I'm stoked about this bag and won't hesitate to use it for a quick overnight or a week-long adventure.

Excellent PackIt's just the right size for a multi-day trip and cinches down nicely for shorter trips with less gear. It's very comfortable.
