If been using this knife for a few weeks almost daily now. It is small enough to fit in my pocket and has no useless tools. Just everything I need for everyday, hiking and camping.
If going to buy this knife there are a few things you should know:Pros: Cons:Blade is very sharp "Saw" is complete CRAPGreat for various aspects of camping Wine bottle opener doesn't work well Overall I would recommend this to a friend
This is a terrific knife. It has a sharp, big blade, which has been very useful on many occasions. The saw is insanely sharp, and significantly better than the saw you would find on any other pocket knife. My only complaint is that it has no scissors, but it's pretty hard to find a solid knife with scissors and a saw.
This is the first pocket knife I've bought and that was 15 years ago. It is dependable and durable, however if I was buying a new knife today I would probably go with the Swiss Army Hiker over this one. The difference between the two is that this one features the cork screw and the Hiker has a Philips head screw driver. I've never once used the wine opener, where as the screw driver could come in handy quite often. But if you opt for this one you certainly won't be unsatisfied, Swiss Army Knifes are quality products.
Awesome knife! I've always used cheap imitations, but this is the real thing! And now I see what all the fuss is about. Swiss Army makes class multi-purpose knives, and this one is no exception. I am absolutely astonished at the build quality, especially compared to others who try to copy this construction. The knife is real solid with a good weight to it. No useless tools on this baby! I have already used this knife everyday since I got it, and I don't worry if it'll hold up one bit because I have full confidence that it will!
got one of these when i was in cub scouts... still have it... it has always proved usefull.... the saw always seems to be sharp... even after i have used it extensively.... and it is much easier to carry than the swiss champ that i have....
