"I bought the Suunto Vector Heart Rate Monitor Watch because it's bad ass, and it has since become my everyday watch. Once you learn how the menus work, it's a breeze to navigate through all the functions. I was up in the Porcupine Mountains a few springs ago and the barometer saved my behind by helping predict a bad storm front coming through that wasn't in the forecast when we left. The temp dropped 35 degrees and we were not caught out on trail because of the Vector. The altimeter is fun too, and I've used it to track all my descents when out biking. You might think it's all just toys, but you would be surprised how useful all the information the watch provides really is."

"I have had this watch for about a week now and absolutely love it!" 03/09/12
The heart monitoring feature is awesome and is a breeze to figure out. All the features seem really intuitive and with the help of the manual I've had no problems. The watch is extremely comfortable and lighter than I expected. The face of the watch is large, but I have a fairly small wrist and I think it looks great (my fiancé described it as rugged).As is to be expected, the temperature gauge reads hot when the watch is on your wrist. All the other features seem accurate (I've tested the compass but not the other gauges). I found the black on black watch to be easy to read even in direct sunlight. All-in-all I'm completely stoked about the purchase!

Very light watch with cool functions including compass, barometer and altitude meter. Also the heart rate monitor is a kind of cool stuff. I can hear my heart beating but now I can even WATCH it. So cool and accurate and now it is my good friend when running.

I have had this watch for almost 4 years now. It has been through it all. Around the world, around the country, up mountains, across rivers, you name it. It's the best watch I've ever owned. The face of the watch is huge, so if you have a small wrist it will look massive. The altimeter and compass are very accurate as well. I use the compass all the time while driving to see if I'm heading in the right direction when in an unfamiliar place. About 2 years ago somehow managed to break the bezel off of the watch so I sent it back to suunto and they replaced it for free. An outstanding watch well worth the price. I plan to wear this watch for at least another 4 years.

I've had the vector and used it for 6 years, a flawless timekeeping and outdoor tool. In all aspects, as well as reliablity and ability to easily change battery. After years of bumps and nicks and abuse my old Vector gave up on me and it was time to buy another one. I decided to get the HR model because I was tired of alternating watches (whenever I was doing cardio). Now I am only wearing Sunnto HR, and whenever I need monitoring my cardio I put on the chest strap and off I go. Highly recommended....I am not sure any other company competes with this watch.

...and it's not because it broke or stopped working the first. Someone stole it when I had it hanging on my backpack, or it fell I didn't pay attention to that but I just can't see how that could happen. I had the regular vector now I got the HR model. One thing I wish suunto could do now is to make a biking cadence accessory, that would be a dream come true.
