The sailing timer allows the user to set the time remaining until the start of the race and at any time synchronizes the timer with the race committee, by the push of a button. Large numerals and audible warning signals will allow you to concentrate on maneuvering your boat in the congestion at the start of the race, all while keeping you informed on forthcoming critical events.
The timer allows the user to choose the amount of time to be counted down until the start of the race, from 10 minutes to 1 minute, or by the minute, depending on what signals are given in that particular race. The user can at any time adjust the countdown timer to the nearest full minute: very useful when checking the 5-minute signal, for example.
When the countdown is completed, a stopwatch will automatically start running. The limit of the stopwatch is 120 hours, i.e. five days. The stopwatch stores up to fifty waypoints for one race, which can be viewed after the race.
The electronic compass shows you your bearing and cardinal or half- cardinal point, and a North-South arrow. The electronic compass features a bearing tracking function, which displays locked bearing, actual bearing and the difference between the two.

"Works well, happy with the purchase" 06/28/07
Used this watch once so far and it didn't win me the race, what the hell???? It couldn't be the sailor. Digits are easy to read and countdown timer works well, the alarm could be a little louder in high wind situations.

"I'M SAILING!!!" said with a huge Bill Murray smile... Love the watch! It works very well and gets me to the start line on time. I can spend more time trimming sails to get to the line full tilt. <BR>When i ordered the watch, i called teh AnnArbour store and i was very happy with how Chris (store manager) took care of sending it to a more conveinient store (GroosePointe) for me to pick it up. Courtney (from the AnnArbour store) not only sounded like a total hotty "sup" (a night at the roxbury), she called me many times to confirm shipment, confirm price and also confirm that it was the watch that i really wanted.
