By far the best rope I have used. I have a Blue Water 10.2, a sterling 8.4 double, an edelrid boa 9.8. This is my go to single rope. The smaller diameter cuts weight. Not going to lie, when I first got it I was concerned with durability, but this rope has taken a beating like a champ.
"As far as rope's are concerned, this is one of them"
I've always been a big fan of Sterling Ropes They're durable, supple, and come in some rad color combos. I went with the 60M and got it in blue(to match my beautiful eyes)It's super lite so it's great on those long approaches, and it doesn't feel like you have to reel up a dead whale at every belay station. It sits in a pile quite nicely and the thicker sheath holds up good though the rough stuff and cleans off very well after getting dragged through the inevitable muddy crack. Pay attention to the diameter of rope's compatible with your own belay device. You should be fine in most cases, but it's always good to check.Happy Climbing All
An awesome rope all around, smooth belaying, perfectly stiff, and easy to clip. Definitely the thinnest rope I've used before and for sure not as durable as my workhorse cords (10mm+), but it is much nicer to use and great for onsights/hard redpoints.
This rope is for those climbers out there who like to cut their feet, flex their biceps and display other freakish acts of strength. When it comes down to it this rope is downright sexy and guaranteed to impress the climber ladies. Runs through a grigri like a dream, comes in some purty colors, light weight and practically falls into the carabiners. The only reason I don't love it is because it isn't a rope I want to use all day every day. I save it for those special peacock moments because I'm scared of getting it dirty and its not the most durable rope out there. That said its still a kick ass rope
its the best rope i have ever had, durable and supple, it clips well from both sides. it has the lowest impact force of any rope i have fallen on. this is not the best rope to TR on but for harder red-points its a great cord.
