"This rope won me over!!" 03/12/12
I used one of these 10.2mm ropes with my rock climbing class down in castlewood canyon and it is awesome! Sterling is a great brand, and their Kosmos 10.2mm rope is no exception to their greatness! I had to purchase my own rope after using my instructors multiple sterlings, and as this will be my first rope I chose a shorter 50m size, and I believe that It will do awesome on any climb, indoor or out! I highly recommend this rope for any climber that wants a lightweight, sturdy, and reliable rope that isnt as stiff as some of the other brands that I have used. Plus the option of color schemes is badass, I got my favorite color, orange!
"It's sterling, need I say more?" 10/19/11
This is an amazing rope. Great workhorse for working those tough routes. Great feel and clipability. This is my main rope, at 67g per meter it's not that heavy. You could get the velocity which Chris Sharma uses to work routes, but I doubt you'll notice the extra 5g per meter. And this rope is tough, rated for 8 UIAA falls, and a nice durable sheath. I highly recommended this rope as a working or first rope.
"Awesome" 10/10/11
Great rope, easy to handle and so far really durable. I've only used it for top-roping but it's held up great against some pretty abrasive rock. Feels solid, and really sturdy. Some rope is rigid, but this rope is the perfect combo between rigidity and suppleness
"Great Birthday Present!" 04/17/11
Bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday and she loves it. It's a great rope that is sturdy enough to handle a big fall. Sterling is one of the leading brands in the rope industry-- you can't go wrong!
"great rope" 02/14/11
I bought these for a club that teaches a lot of new climbers. So these ropes get a ton of use and they take the damage well. So long story short if you plan on doing leading, top roping, and continuously using throughout the day this is a great rope.

"Probably great but not the greatest" 01/04/11
This rope is obviously a good rope or it wouldn't be sold in the US. However, it is no the best rope on the market at this price. You can buy a rope with a much better UIAA falls rating rope at a comparable price. For instance look at the stats and prices on the Edelweiss Torrent or Sharp or the Mammut Supersafe ropes. I know this rope will get the job done and much more if you are considering paying this much consider all of your options.
"Sterling makes the most durable ropes on the market!" 10/22/10
I've now had three sterling ropes, all from the Evolution line. My favorite is the Velocity 9.8, which is my go to rope for sport climbing. I use my 10.2 Kosmos more for trad climbing and projecting (read: falling on every bolt complaining about temps). This rope has been extremely durable, especially the sheath. Other ropes I've used turned to fuzz pretty quickly but Sterling ropes just keep going. My ropes get pretty beat up at Smith (sharp rock and dust everywhere) but these ropes just last forever. I currently have a 70m 9.8 Velocity and a 70m 10.2 Kosmos and I would highly recommend either one.
"Sick rope!" 08/15/10
I have used this the last two weekends outside in PA and it's been a dream come true. I'm relatively new to climbing outdoors and i love it. I had my first lead fall last weekend and it was on my rope. It saved my life and gave a nice cush fall to boot. Let's not forget the compliments and remarks i have gotten on the style and good looks on this beauty of a rope. (I have the orange and it's totally bodacious!) If you're in the market for a good sturdy rope i highly recommend this one.
"Nice rope. Keeps you from dying!" 04/19/10
It might be a bit heavy, but heavy is good. Heavy is reliable. Also since I top rope 90% of the time I don't really care how heavy it is. It is a rope, though, and they always use them in the movies.
"Lasts Forever!" 01/03/10
The best thing about Sterling ropes is that they are not any other brand of rope. You may pay a bit more for them, but they truly last longer. This rope, specifically, is the "STD" option, I find, climbing in Illinois/Kentucky area that a DRY rope isn't necessary as long as you buy a rope bag, take care of the rope, and make sure it doesn't get wet, muddy, or frozen. The bi-color rope option is useful when cleaning routes and repelling down b/c you know the half way point. Great buy, good price.
"Nice rope" 01/03/10
Though i have only used the rope once it feels good in my hands and the amount of glue on the ends is promising that nothing will come undone down there... also i agree with the other guy, it is a bit heavy so a 9.8 would probably be nice
