I bought two of these cordelettes... one to make bomber cordelette for building belay anchors and top rope anchors! And the other to make a friction knot as a safety measure when rappelling. Sterling makes a solid cordelette that is strong, inexpensive, and reliable.
i actually bought this as a light weight chord to hold up my camping hammock, i cut it in half and use it that way, i plan on getting another one for climbing they are incredibly useful and light weight, i cant feel them when carrying it in my pack
Exactly what i was looking for. I was sent a pretty cool color and I don't really care, but it would have been nice if I could select the color. Also, It's just a bit stiff, but I'm assuming it will loosen up over time.
Aside from the million uses in climbing and rigging, this is a good all around rope for securing light loads around the house and handy to keep around. One of these has been holding up two 17 foot kayaks for years and shows no signs of stopping. The other (red because it's the Holidays) has secured the Christmas tree during its grueling trek to the car and home.
"Awesome for climbing and setting up hammocks!"
I received two orange and yellow cordelettes (5M) and I am IN LOVE with them! I use them everyday to set up my hammock outside and they definitely hold. They are so versatile and are great for setting up anchors outside for climbing. They are a piece of gear that every climber should have if you want to climb outside, or even if you love hammocks :) They are lightweight and easy to pack - super cheap, use them a lot, definitely pays for itself!
"Excellent Product, Rock Solid, Works as good as any"
If you are looking for cordelettes for building bomber anchors for belay stations and top rope set ups, look no further. These cordelettes are perfect. They are durable, solid, and just the right length for most anchor needs. Heck, they even look great. Mine came in bright yellow and red. Highly recommend these!
