The Sorel Women's Tofino Boot offers a touch of feminine glam with a whole lot of cold weather toughness. The lightweight quilted exterior is made with waterproof waxed canvas with a durable leather shell to provide waterproofing, and a Sherpa Pile interior with faux fur cuff means the Tofino women's boot is guaranteed to keep your feet warm and dry even when walking in deep snow. Sorel uses a sneaker-like fit and a molded rubber outsole to provide nimble and sure-footed movement. Are you a daredevil that likes to do pirouettes on black ice? Well wearing Sorel's Tofino boots are a good way to prevent falling and cracking your head open. Or just avoiding doing ballet on the ice might help too.
Bought the Joan of Arc boot first but could not handle how heavy they were. If felt like I was carrying cement on my feet. My favorite thing about these is how much lighter they are, and because of that, they don't tear up the backs of my heels like the others did. Only reason I didn't give them a higher rating is I have not worn them in snow yet...but I've got pretty high hopes for them!
I had previously purchased a pair of leather sorel boots, which I found to be waaaaay heavy. These are perfect! Lightweight, fit well, and I don't walk like I'm lugging blocks of cement on my feet.
Sorel Tofino Women's boots not only look great, but they fit perfectly. When you measure your feet, do it in centimeters and be precise. This boot in chilli-pepper/black is "red hot." It is as hot as the pepper, and in minus 26 degrees celcius weather with a minus 40 degree windchill, these have both comfort and warmth. Great in the snow, and on the ice, too. Special thanks to Carl from Moosejaw's for helping with this order--really nice dude! These boots are fab and functionally fashionable. Have put them in my front window to make the neighbours jealous.
I ordered these in dark olive, I am currently going through the annoying return/exchange policy because they run about a 1/2 size too small. So order a 1/2 size up!!! Boots seem great, well made, and I will be putting the waterproof aspect to test soon as I live in the U.P. and its snowing!!!!
