Was looking for something light enough to walk a mile to school in every day and these work great. Haven't worn them in snow yet but after splashing in plenty of cold puddles my feet remained warm and dry. Also went on a several mile hike (with as many inclines as Kansas allows) and they were comfy. I'm normally a size 10. The 9.5 fit me perfectly with wool socks.

So warm and dry! Yet so lightweight! It's magic!I love hiking around through the snow in the winter, but my previous boots just weren't standing up to being in the snow for that long. My socks would be soaked through after a half an hour. Then I got these and they are MAGNIFICENT. Very sturdy and well made and great at keeping all manner of water and snow away from your feet where is does not belong! But I can still wear them for hours at a time on a good hike and not have sore feet. They don't weigh you down either. Basically, a solid, well-made boot that is not too burdensome or rigid. And it looks great at the grocery store. I got major compliments from the deli kid.

Oh, boot love. Why do you have to be so mean?I want to love these boots. Since I've worn them out in the snow, I can't return them to Moosejaw so I'm really hoping that I'll be able to love them. But as with any relationship, there are complications.,,,,The good? They're super cute, the leather is nice and soft and they're just the right size to let me wear thick socks and keep my feet toasty warm here in the frozen tundra.,,,,The bad? They hurt. They really freaking hurt. I've since done some Googling and this is a known issue with these boots, which is tragic and I really wish I'd realized before buying them. Something about the connection between the leather and the rubber causes the boots to rub on the backs of my ankles when I walk and it's a killer! I'm going to try taping some cotton balls to the inside of the boots with duct tape and maybe that will help.

Stylish, comfortable and waterproofI was happy to discover Moosejaw carried this boot in my size. It was sold out even on the Sorel website. The boot is beautiful, comfortable, lightweight for a Sorel, and feels sturdy and waterproof. When I walked on a wood surface with lots of traffic, it was slippery, but that may be the case with any shoe on such a surface. This boot is easy to take on and off as well. A very great value too for what the price of the boot to the quality and the style. I get compliments on this boot!

These boots are awesome-- They're light and easy to walk in, but keep my feet super warm. I was looking for a pair that wasn't too chunky, so while these are a little wide, these totally fit the bill.
My only complaint is that they're a little hard to get your feet into, since the insulating isn't attached properly to the rest of the boot so it has a tendency to slide down with your foot-- but it's a minor problem. They run very true to size-- I'm a size 6 in everything and these have enough space for some thick socks (not that you would need it) but aren't too large.

Vintagely Awesome!I have wanted a pair of these boots since 1988. I finally manned up and bought a pair. Best thing I have ever done! These boots are super warm. I think they run a tad big but I like to wear heavy socks or double up when it gets really cold. I love them and will have them for a long long time. Definitely worth the money!

Love These Boots!I got these for winter in Colorado and they are perfect! Water proof for snowy days, super warm, and cute/trendy all at the same time. They are a bit slippery on ice but if you're careful it's no biggie. I feel like they run a little big. I usually wear a 6 in running shoes but I wear a 5.5 in these and can still fit some warm socks in them with room to spare.

Sturdy and warmI've been needing actual winter boots for a while, and these were the perfect solution. They're waterproof and keep my feet warm, perfect for Chicago winters. I had read elsewhere that you should be careful with Sorel measurements, but I ordered my usual shoe size and they fit perfectly! I'll be using these for many years to come.

I read the liner is felted wool... Is it itchy or ever to hot? And if you take out that liner is there anything lined in the boot or just go down to the rubber and leather?- so do you have to have that "removable" liner in at all times? Thanks Abby
Asked by: Abby
Thanks for the question Abby! The liner is felted wool that's about 1/4" thick. It isn't very itchy to me, but it might be to you if you're not wearing socks. Whether it would get too hot depends on you, I think. My feet get hot easily, so mine would. I wear boots similar to these with the liner removed (but wearing a heavy wool sock) throughout Michigan winters, but that's just me. The liner is removable and without the liner it goes down to the glue and seam sealing with a very thing sewn in liner at the bottom. It isn't advisable to wear them without the liner, but you do not necessarily have to leave it in.
