The Sorel Men's 1964 Pac Nylon Boot is a winter boot that will get you through all of the cold weather chores around the house, at the cabin, and heading into town. Waterproof and durable, synthetic textile, PU coated leather and a vulcanized rubber shell come together to give your feet the protection they need when you're tromping around through wet snow. The 9mm recycled felt inner boot will add plenty of warmth with a boot rating down to -25°F and don't worry about sweating it up in your boots either, as it is removable and washable. Wash 'em up for a fresh pair of boots to start each winter month or just clean them up at the end of the season so you're prepped for the next hard winter. Stay on your feet with the herringbone outsole, whether you're outdoors for work or pleasure.

Good boot for everyday useThis is a good boot, and worth buying. But i’d consider it a fashion boot for everyday winter use, rather than serious winter gear. It's old school simplicity at work, and is basically a rubber duck boot with a canvas upper sewn into it, a waterproof membrane under that, and a removable felt liner. The rubber and upper are thinner and less robust than you would think by looking at the pictures. Good for comfort, not so great for warmth or longevity.
The fit is loose and sloppy. Size down if you want anything that resembles form fitting. Though, that's not what these boots do. The fit and feel is more like wearing a big waterproof slipper that you can keep on all day. And they're damned comfortable, if not a bit laborious to walk in.
The felt liner provides about as much warmth as other 400G boots i've had, so personally I wouldn't hold a lot of stock in the "-25ºF" rating. But these are warm enough for every day use in the cold, and don't completely overheat your feet when indoors. Good for shoveling snow, going out to the bar, etc. But look elsewhere for a serious winter boot you can wear hiking or to the mountains. For that, you want a form fitting boot with more modern design and construction.
Overall, these look very cool, have a timeless style, and are comfortable enough to walk in for every day use. They feel like a big slipper though, and the loose sloppy fit is unacceptable for hiking or walking long distances. Wear them to shovel the driveway, then out to the bar. Over or under your pants. Either way, they're cool looking and warm. I have a different pair of boots for serious winter conditions. These are for looking cool, being comfortable, and wearing when it's sloppy and slushy out.

Great bootI recently realized that my ancient Sorels had lost their tread after 30 years. So, reluctantly I bought this new pair. I like them a great deal, and I think they may even fit better than my old pair. I also am digging that they are a different color than most I see. I felt a bit snug over the toe at first, but learned to draw the laces more tightly over the calf and it eased right up.
