Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent little piece of kit I had used those little plastic sporks with the spoon on one end and the fork/knife on the other (you know the ones- brightly colored and such), and got sick of them melting. ,,,,As far as I can tell, it's tough to melt titanium when backpacking. It does, however, bend quite nicely so that you can fit it into your kitchen kit nicely. Eating with it is nice. ,,,,I painted the handle red, and put a lanyard in the hole on the handle (they must have paid someone to think of that one), because I don't want my friends to "think" it's thiers, and I tend to lose my sporks (not anymore with the lanyard). ,,,,I really like this little guy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best titanium spork I've tried. This is a great spork if you're looking for a titanium option. I handled all the other titanium sporks from other manufacturers, and some worked great as a fork but poor as a spoon - and vice versa. This has a deep dished bowl for the spoon which holds a lot of liquid if you like cocoa, soup, or something else. Also, unlike many of the other "sporks," this spork is actually useful as a fork. The tines on the Snow Peak spork or much longer and it shines! It also is a solid spork, unlike the folding titanium sporks which can bend under the slightest of weights. For freeze dried meals, the tines are a little sharp - so eat with caution. For every other meal, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spork-f^cking-tacular As has been established by the prior work of my fellow reviewers, this is a fantastic utensil for the backwoods. While I too appreciate the utility of this hybrid in the great wide open, I have found that this spork shines equally bright in urban duty. Indeed, when confronted with take-out tins of pad thai, vegan Chipotle bowls, or frisbee-fulls of Captain Crunchberries, I reach for this spork, and it outperforms its traditional counterparts (I'm talking to you, clumsy chop sticks, non-biodegradable plastic fork, and lowly ladle). So keep this implement out of your bag when you return to your post-adventure life, and let the unbridled power of this spoon-fork guide you to a better tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save mo money by investing a bit! For all you gear lovers out there, this is an essential piece of your collection! Although more expensive than most other forks, spoons or knives, this is the only thing you will ever need. Ultra strong, never bends or twists, this will stay in your pack for a very long time (until they create a spork made out of ultra ultra light material...),,Works good with noodle soup or our favorite ramen! Pair it with a collapsible cup and you got your ultra light backcountry dining kit.,,Went through 3 plastic sporks before finally investing a bit for this unbreakable item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Food never went in my mouth easier than with this spork!!!! I used to use my fingers to eat while on the trail, to keep my base weight down. Then i figured what the hell, .6 of an ounce is probably lighter than my fingers are anyways, so i bought me a snow peak titanium spork and cut off my pinkies. just kidding, i still have all my fingers. But I did leave my spork on a tree stump somewhere; who cares, at this price i can actually afford another one. Titanium belongs in the shapes of sporks and chopsticks and pots and pans and maybe the grill in your mouth; not those little heart pendant necklaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, solid, and most importantly: Wont melt! I used to carry a plastic backpacking spoon which weighted the same as this spoon. However, I discovered the hard way that plastic can melt while mixing hot food… not a good thing when you only carry only one spoon. Solution: titanium spoon! Thus far, this has been a great spoon. It has not bent or warped out of shape. Plus it’s a lot easier to clean. And if you want to get really fancy with backcountry sterilization, stick this puppy over a flame for a few seconds to kill anything growing on your spoon; can’t do that with plastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Titanium Spork I'm not going to waste my time going over the pros and cons of a spork, but as sporks go this is an excellent one. I use this one as my primary utensil when doing lightweight, multi-day trips. I like the weight and the fact that titanium cools quickly. The only con is that the fork tines could be a little longer and more pointed.,,,,I recently also bought the short version of this spork that fits in my mess kit. Not sure whether they shorty will replace this one, guess it depends on how easy I burn my knuckles trying to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just buy it already There really isn't much to say besides that this spork works. I swear it's made out of some kind of helium mix from what it weighs, and despite putting it through the wringer (you could honestly dig in the dirt with it), it looks brand new. Doesn't impart any taste to your food, and is just long enough (barely) to make it into that bag of dehydrated food. I do wish they made a longer version of it, but such is life.,,,,If you aren't a fan of the matte look, you can alternatively take a bit of metal polish and it'll shine right up. You may want to also take care not to use this directly over a fire or to scrape the inside of your aluminum pots too hard, as both will result in some kind of damage (the first to your hand after the handle conducts heat from the head).
