Took it out for the first time this weekend. Love the lightweight feature, and stability of it. Super easy and convenient. I also used it to make soup and heat water in general. For you trail pickers out there, this is also a great tool to have if you want to make tea from what you find on the trail, just boil it then press it. One tool for many purpose. It is super nice to be able to make good coffee on the trail (especially in the winter) for those of you who have never used a french press, you're missing out. It is how coffee is meant to be made! probably is not the best press around, but certainly gets the job done

I bought this coffee maker because honestly, I needed a new one for my apartment. But my life is going to be pretty unstable after I graduate in June (yeeeew!) so I needed one that could come with me and this Snow Peak press is perfect! I have it every morning with my wake-up studying and because it makes such great coffee, I am ready to take on ANY essay. When I work at a summer camp come June, they make TERRIBLE coffee, so I will be the envy of all the other counselors with this baby, makin' my own brew. When I move to Australia after that, I will take it with me to have great coffee no matter who's couch I'm sleeping on. Super pumped on it! Just a little small - I drink lotsa coffeeeee.

This thing if awesome, because it is perfect for enough coffee for 2 people while camping. if you use course grinds it works better and if u let it steep long enough u can get really good tasting coffee very fast in the morning, i also store my fire gear in this so the space and weight is also great for back country camping.

Always wanted a french press--this one's fantastic and makes a great cup of java. The tip to go s-l-o-w when pushing the plunger is the trick. The big guy wanted his coffee now, and the first pot he made was a little chewy. Used it for two avid coffee drinkers, and brewed five pots our first a.m. out with it. Wish they made a bigger version for those of us that swill java. This light weight press is a must have for those that need coffee to get moving in the a.m. and want a quality cup of joe--so much better coffee than the freeze dried instant we used to settle for on our excursions.

This baby gets you the girls, litterly! She followed the smell of fresh coffee, climbed into my tent and stayed when she discovered I could keep her in supply. She asked me what else I had hidden away in my pack, but that is another story... I have used my Snowpeak Press for over 5yrs now and use it every day as my ONLY coffeemaker. It definatly has with stood the test of time! It packs nice and light too for a short daytrip to the beach, or long trips up into the mountains.

When camping this baby gets you the girls! Litterly! She didn't leave my tent once she found out I could supply her with hot coffee! Or was it some other reason....?I use this as my ONLY coffeemaker and have used it everyday for over 5yrs now! I used to destroy the glass ones, and they don't pack well on daytrips to the beach. Snowpeak is SERIOUS about their lifetime warranty too! I broke my knob off after several years of use, they sent me a whole new updated plunger and some extra filters, impressed that I had worn out the original one!

I purchased this in the spring and had it along on a couple backpacking trips this summer. As far as I'm concerned it was worth the extra weight in my pack (it is actually very light). This actually nests very well inside my Snow Peak cup in my pack saving space and I stuff my pack towel inside it while traveling to save even more. One thing I realized out in the woods was that it takes more water to clean then I had expected.Tip: While using this press the plunger down VERY slow, this helps the filter stay in place. (the first time I used it I pushed it down too fast and had to chew my coffee)

99% of the time I brew up coffee with my Aeropress, but for those times when I want a french press this thing is great!My last french press started leaking after 5 years (Liquid Solutions). This is what I love about the Snow Peak Titanium Cafe Press:- Durable- I can boil the water in the titanium mug.- Dual screens (silicone and metal) to better filter coffee particles.- light weight- Compact; I can nest this in other cookware.

After making the leap from plastic with a double walled Snowpeak cup, a plate, bowl, cutlery set, and coffee press were not soon far off. The fantastic quality, ultra light weight, and hyper durability has easily offset the price.
