Snow Peak Kanpai Bottle

The Kanpai Bottle by Snow Peak is a double walled stainless steel thermos that works to cool, keep warm, and of course enjoying beverages on the go. Snow Peak made this Stainless steel bottle with three differnt lids- you'll be able to specialize to become a portable micro cooler, thermos, or drinking container. Place the cooling lid in the freezer for 12 hours, place your can of pop (or soda), in the Kanpai Bottle, and you'll find that this feature is made for keeping a 12 oz / 16 oz (500 ml model only) can cold, with only a 2 C degree drop over 6 hours. Double walled to insulated, using the insulated lid, it's engineered to keep beverages hot, or soup warm over 6 hours, only droping from 95 C (nearly boiling) to 60 C. And if you decide you'd like to drink this beverage, there's a lid for that too. Almost like that one fruity cell pod thing. Amazing.

"Hot or cold it does the job" 04/18/13

I've had the 350 version for about 1.5 yrs. I use it daily for cold drinks at my desk or hot coffee while on the road. It will still have ice left with next morning from my evening ice water. The best part is hot or cold...no condensation drops or coaster needed around the house. Yes, an ice cold can of beer will be (nearly) ice cold after hours in a hot car or pack. I did try the 500 size to compare (crazy tall), but for everyday use the 350 is the way to go. With the cold use top (put lid in the freezer for the gel pack), sealing hot top, and the sipping hot top, you are ready for any indoor or outdoor adventure.

"im in love" 09/12/12

I was kinda skeptical about how well insulated they said this mug was, but they were totally right!!! I am living in texas and it is hotter than heck here. I had this mug filled with ice water and forgot about it when i was working outside (109 F. that day) i ran back after lunch and found it still sitting there. it was almost to hot to touch but when i took a sip and looked inside, it was still cold and even had ice still in it!!! It will keep your coffee hot the whole day even with the drinkable lid on it and like they say, a 16oz beer can will fit in there and stay cold for all my drinkers out there!!!! I know its pricey but its worth it :)

"It's something you buy with Rewards Points" 01/10/12

I got this bottle in the 350ml version. I don't know why anyone would get the bigger one. I got it with Rewards Points for fun because that's what you do with points. You spend them on stuff that you wouldn't normally buy and once you have it you are really impressed with it! This is one of those.It does all that it claims it can do. The hot lid gets it's heat from the drink. The cold lid gets it's chill from your freezer. Both insulate well to keep whatever is inside warm. The outside of the container will be room temperature or a little cooler, while the inside will be either piping hot or freezing cold. Simply it works. It's great. I love it!

"Easily passes Heat Test 1 in room temperature" 01/10/12

Heat test 1: 350ml Kanpai in 70 degree F house.I poured boiling water into the bottle. I let it sit with the lid (though not screwed in) on top for a little over 1 min as per the advice of Snow Peak. Then I tightened the lid.-After 3 hours, it was piping hot!-After 6 hours, it was still hot. It wouldn't burn my finger to touch but if I left it in for a few seconds I would have a burn.-After 9 hours, it was still decently hot. Tea would be still drinkable and not nasty. Note: I had opened it and closed it several times by this point.Also, the outside of the bottle was cool as could be--even cold to the touch this entire time. The insulated hot lid gets it's heat from the drink itself.

"Is that footlong...and then some." 08/03/11

I am an avid outdoor freak and gear geek and I believe in getting what you pay for...so I typically spend on things that are important. Well, 80 bones for a cup...I expect a lot Very well constructed as are my other snow peak products. Keeps cold stuff cold and hot stuff hot...for a long time which is key as I like my coffee hot, my red bull/vodka just above freezing and I like my mtn dew, well, dewey. The 3 lids that come with it are nice since the drinking lid is not tots leak-proof. I am sure SP could have made one lid to work adequately for hot/cold/drinky for 80 bucks (see Nissan JMQ400 mug). For now it is my go-to drink receptacle...hot or cold.

"Worth It!" 12/17/10

If you are serious about your morning coffee like I am, this is the one for you; worth the price tag and is a great conversation piece. It does come with three lids one freezable to keep things cold, one to keep things hot, and a drinkable one. I have not been able to test the "cold" lid yet but will in the summer months. The "hot lid works very well and closes tight not to let things leak out. The "drinkable" lid is tight to the bottle but the spout is not; it will leak if you don't hold it upright.Bottom Line, I would recommend this to a friend.

"If you want an ice cold beer after a long hike.... this is your ticket." 05/05/10

I was skeptical at first but the thought of an ice cold beer after a long hike and setting up camp sounded pretty good. According to SP this little "cooler will keep a beverage cold with no temperature change (36-42) for up to six hours at around 70 degrees air temperature. I've managed to extend that up to 9 hours+. I purchased the larger size and it fits a tall boy Guiness perfectly. I'm Irish, so that works out. My trick is to get up extra early and actually freeze the beer for a little while. Take it out before it explodes obviously and slip it into the cooler and screw on the frozen lid then slip it into your pack and forget about it.Now I just need five more :)
