"Best heavy weight sock ever!" 03/12/13

I have used the Smartwool socks for some time but not the Heavy. I normally wear a thin wool liner with a mid weight outer. I have now changed my thinking and will continue to use just this heavy sock. I wore them out recently on a day of snowshoeing through 3 feet of fresh powder. I was wearing my mountaineering boots in these conditions and found my feet to be super comfortable and warm all day. Great cushion, super soft, very comfortable. I would highly recommend these.

"The best." 12/16/12

I have a circulation issue with my feet, and well, let's just say they hate winter. These socks are great when paired with a roomy boot. Super warm, super comfortable, and the inside is extra soft. LOVE them. Oh, and they stay up. Don't you hate it when socks fall down?

"Best Socks Ever!" 07/08/12

I own three different styles of smartwool socks. These are by far my favorite. The material will not wear out in the heels like the phd's. The thickness is perfect. Should last forever. Well worth the money.

"Anti Blisters and Callouses" 02/23/12

I wore these and also Medium cushion over a few days of my first backcountry trip in years. Not only did I not get blisters, but over 4 days my callouses from walking around town were starting to decline (and haven't really returned). Since I have invested in many more Smartwool products and not looked back. I prefer a tighter sock so with a size 13 shoe I use Large sized socks and they work great, no liner.

"quality socks" 02/05/12

After you wear smart wool socks, you don't ever want to put anything else on your feet. Best product for your money. Take care of your feet, always a much happier person. I've done 10+ mile rucks with these socks with 90 lbs, no blisters. I have happy feet. Thanks moosejaw!

"Dont go hiking without them" 12/22/11

Very comfy, wick the sweat and prevent blisters. Much better with hiking boots as they are really thick, but I have worn them with sneakers for shorter hikes.

"Saved my toes tons of times!" 12/19/11

They are superwarm, supersoft and very cozy. After some jogging in cold weather with my vibram fivefingers my toes are usually very cold. Put these on, count to 10 and violá, your toes are happy again!Works great with any winter boots as well.

"Really Warm, fuzzy on the inside!!!!!" 12/07/11

Really warm sock, use them all the time when I am snowshoeing or snowbiking. Good length, nice and comfortable and you got to love the fuzzies on the inside!

wow. this is my first pair of special socks. and all i can say is wow these are great. they massage my feet when i walk and are super warm. the fit is perfect. i wear a 12.5 and got the large.

"Great sock for hiking in winter" 07/14/11

Love these socks. I have at least 15 pair of them. They are so comfortable I wear them around the house also in winter. I love to hike in these when it is cold cause it keeps up your legs warm and has amazing cushion also. With it being merino wool as well it stops your feet from stinking so bad too!!

"Great sock? or greatest sock ever?" 05/13/11

I got these mainly for skiing because my feet always get cold in those hard boots. These socks kept my little piggies warm and were still breathable. Also great for hiking, walking, whatever, so comfortable. I even wear them around the house when it gets cold. My lady is always stealing them too.
