"Anti Blisters and Callouses" 02/23/12
I wore these and also Medium cushion over a few days of my first backcountry trip in years. Not only did I not get blisters, but over 4 days my callouses from walking around town were starting to decline (and haven't really returned). Since I have invested in many more Smartwool products and not looked back. I prefer a tighter sock so with a size 13 shoe I use Large sized socks and they work great, no liner.

After you wear smart wool socks, you don't ever want to put anything else on your feet. Best product for your money. Take care of your feet, always a much happier person. I've done 10+ mile rucks with these socks with 90 lbs, no blisters. I have happy feet. Thanks moosejaw!

They are superwarm, supersoft and very cozy. After some jogging in cold weather with my vibram fivefingers my toes are usually very cold. Put these on, count to 10 and violá, your toes are happy again!Works great with any winter boots as well.

Love these socks. I have at least 15 pair of them. They are so comfortable I wear them around the house also in winter. I love to hike in these when it is cold cause it keeps up your legs warm and has amazing cushion also. With it being merino wool as well it stops your feet from stinking so bad too!!

I got these mainly for skiing because my feet always get cold in those hard boots. These socks kept my little piggies warm and were still breathable. Also great for hiking, walking, whatever, so comfortable. I even wear them around the house when it gets cold. My lady is always stealing them too.

Extremely warm and cushioning sock!wool in more normal quantities than the Mountaineering sock by Smartwool, so can be worn more often.

Gifted these to my husband. He says, "These aren't your Gpa's army issued wool socks! Such socks are to these like WWII iron bombs are to laser guided smart bombs; & these socks are smart! Extra cushy where needed w/ no cushioning where it's not. Outside looks & feels like a regular wool sock, but inside is a whole new ballpark. I like the merino so much I’m considering going merino for everyday socks. (If anyone knows when Bill Gates is adopting, let me know.) Of course these dry slower than their synthetic counterparts, but the benefits far outweigh this little inconvenience, in my opinion. So in conclusion: Smart Bombs, Bill Gates, SmartWool. P.S. I bought my first pair from a competitor, but since I'm devoted MooseJaw subscriber, I'm buying my 2nd pair from the Madness.A great sock as they've hitched a ride on my feet on several excursions, even during a Green Bay game at the "Frozen Tundra". Cozy, comfy, & sturdy. What else do you want from a sock?
