"worth every penny!" 01/03/12

I own several pairs of smartwool ski and snowboard socks, both the new PhD style and the older style. The new PhD styles are much better at regulating temperature and are worth the extra few bucks if you are buying new socks. But, I wouldn't run and replace the old ones just yet. Both are super comfy and leaving my feet not feeling like they were stuck in a sweat box all day. Once again, smartwool makes a positive addition to my life.

"Awesome snowboarding sock" 12/27/10

Bought my first pair cuz they were on sale. Wore them snowboarding and can't believe I waited this long to get these things. Super warm. No wet or sweaty/clammy feet at all. Cushy and comfortable, but NOT bulky and thick like a hiking/backpacking sock. I was concerned they would be too thick and my boots would pinch my toes, but that wasn't a problem at all. They're also really high, stay put and don't slip down. I'm 5'8 with 9.5-10 feet, I got a large and they're almost at my knee but the foot fits fine. I also got a medium and they're on my calf but the foot fits great, too. I could wear either size and will only wear these things on the mountain from now on!

"I'm going to get another pair, worth the price!" 12/22/08

You know that saying 'rocked your socks off?' Well, I'm not wearing any socks because these socks rocked themselves off of my feet. If that doesn't make any sense to you, how about this? I was just snowboarding and it was extra-really cold out. My feet stayed pretty warm without getting sweaty! I was really happy because usually my feet get cold due to sweat pretty quickly.

"I can't imagine someone NOT liking these socks" 10/13/08

I know it's Fall when it's time to bring out the Smartwool socks. Most days I want to swaddle myself in Smartwool from head to toe, and these socks allow me to get one step closer. These socks are super warm and SUPER tall, especially for a shorter woman, such as myself. They are the perfect dressy or adventurous sock and will keep you warm and toasty-- and living in Chicago and traipsing across this frozen, windy tundra, one needs as much warm and toasty time as possible. Smartwool is wonderfully warm and soft (no itchy wool for sensitive skin). These socks make cold days better.
