Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smartwool knows how to make socks. I've had several pairs of Smartwool socks, but the micro's are my favorite. For running or biking (I do one or the other every day). The Running line seem a bit tougher than the biking line and the Ultra Lights are still holding up very strong after a year of weekly use. I've had the biking line and used them for running, and they didn't make it 8 months. If you do a lot of trail running or live in a colder climate, go with the Smartwool PhD Light, but if it's summer and your feet don't need the extra cushion, the Ultra Lights will stay cooler and keep you more comfortable. They fit true to their sizing chart, even if you are on the bubble. Overall, just a darn good sock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly What They Claim to Be I have three pairs of these socks in the blue color. I've run in them in all kinds of conditions and they are great. In cold weather my feet don't feel too cold and in wet and muddy conditions (even when my shoes feel like puddles) they dry quickly and don't lose performance or warmth. The only critique I have for these socks are that they could be cushioned just a little more. This wasn't an issue for me, just a preference, but it is a lightweight running sock. I would buy these again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great socks for trail running or light hiking! These are among my favorite trail running socks. They are thin, lightweight, comfortable -- don't bunch up even when wet -- breathable, dry quickly, and have held up very well to at least 50 runs and subsequent washings. If you are wondering how the thickness of these socks compare with the Smartwool Running Light socks and are familiar with Patagonia's wonderful capilene products, the Running Ultra Light socks are like capilene 2 and the Running Light socks are like Capilene 3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice for summer time Is a very stretchable sock, but still advise people to go up one size. Good sock for the summer, does not really shrink that much after the first wash. Quite comfortable even for a thin sock, my knee seems to have less pain whenever I wore it standing 10+ hours while working. The down side to the sock is that after a few wash the sock starts having those little fuzzy balls.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good lightweight sock I purchased two pair recently for use on a upcoming day hike on the Appalachian trail. In preparation I wore these on a shakeout hike this weekend; and while these socks served their purpose; they were a bit of a nuisance. ,,,,They run small, very small. I am a mens size thirteen shoe- so I bought size xl. Unfortunately with my Salomon trail shoes this meant that the top of the sock just made it to the middle of my ankle; in turn I ended up spending the day wrestling with my socks. At times this meant having to take of my shoes so I could pull them up. Of course I also ended up with a small blister on my Achilles due to the friction from the back of the shoe. ,,,,Overall I give these a three out of 5 stars. If you have an average size foot; order one size larger and I am certain these will work out well for you. For someone with a larger foot; go with another brand; Nike dri-fit socks have always served me well in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My goto socks These and a pair of Outdoor Lite socks are my goto running socks. The outdoor lite are bit heavier and good for cold weather. These take over at 40+ degrees.,,,,Merino wool does everything they say it does. I picked these up after the outdoor lite allowed me to tackle water crossings in trail runs in below freezing weather without a hitch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These socks work, are sewn with fine materials, and look great. I absolutely love these socks! I've been buying Smartwool socks for 5 or 6 years now, and they never disappoint. Well worth the money, in my opinion. I wear these for casual days at the office, hiking, you name it…they work great in every situation. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to running sock Excellent sock, especially for the summer time when you're mostly looking for something to minimize friction in your running shoes. They wick sweat well and provide excellent feel. Hard to go wrong with Smartwool.
