I got these for my brother because he has holes in his walmart socks. He freakn' loves them. He even called and asked for more. They are warm and cozy and great for all kinds of activities. Buy one pair-you'll be hooked!

This is an excellent option for just about anything you can run into in your day to day adventures. I have almost exclusively gone to merino wool socks and find Smartwool's wool to be a bit above all the rest. Spend the little bit extra and get the PhD line from them, the perfect fit is worth it!

These socks rock! I have bought my husband 4 pairs of these and I'm going to have to buy more because he loves them so much!!! They last a lot longer than any other socks he has had. Sometimes he even wears them to bed...I'll stop right there. LTM!!

I have changed all my socks to smartwool, theses keep feet comfortable and not too sweaty. I have these as well as the heavy socks (sock monkey looking ones) and they are durable and keep my feet happy. I would suggest buying some, now is as good a time as any.

Got this sock for backpacking. I have tried other stupid socks that looked good in the thrift store, but this one actually keeps my feet dry. Not sure how, really don't care. I just like to finish the hike for the day, set up the campsite and take my shoes off and not have the clammy foot sydrome. I would send a pic, but I have really ugly feet.

easy to wash, takes a long time to get smelly, snug fit that wont slip and slide on your foot. the top can be a bit tight but that keeps them secure... in fact i have them on now!! waddya know? nice venting in key areas. very durable. soft and comfy, warm when wet. awesome socks!!! i wear them all the time!! three pairs is pretty much all you need for non formal life...

I love these socks! They have been worn on summer hikes and have become my work socks due to the comfortability and they don't leave your feet soaked with sweat. I'm getting more of these to replace all of my other crap socks.

I was Hiking 2 days at mount Taygetos in the smartwool Hiking Medium, and the third day I wore the PHDs medium, and the difference was huge as the shock and abrasion was reduced immensely!!!
