"Loving the Low Rise Wool Socks!" 12/26/11
Two thumbs up for the low rise socks. They are great for my low top hi tech hiking shoes. Strong support in the elastic but does not cut of circulation. Never a lazy sock that curls up under your toes. I'm going to by a few more pairs without a blink of an eye.
"I use these indoors too!" 12/17/11
Turns out that these are one of the best pairs of socks that I have owned for indoor gym activities. I use the especially for racquetball and launder them at the gym where they get a beating. They have been holding up well so far: 2 years and counting...
"Would rather wear a pair for 3 days straight than risk it with some synthetic junk." 10/05/11
If you think wool socks are only intended for cold weather uses, stop thinking that...I've used these things doing field work in NV along with some GTX boots. I love my boots, but I though it might be a little to stifling for my dogs, not the case. These socks helped my feet breath. The nice and light weight, and venty, but still offer a little padding in all the right places.
"Da Bomb Diggity!!! Best ever!" 09/30/11
I bought these socks for backpacking through rough terrain, and they have not let me down yet, I didn’t buy the actual hiking socks because I’m planning on buying the Smartwool NTS bottoms and don’t want to double up around my ankles. These keep my feet warm and dry, no blisters and don't wear out. I hate how expensive they are, even if they are really nice, but I just buy them anyway, they are quality material, and seem durable; I would buy more if at a lower price point. Now I’m just saving up for the $80 long underwear, yay.
"These socks were great." 01/18/11
I killed the last pair I had by not keeping my toe nails trimmed enough and wearing a hole in them in short order so they're definitely thin but that means they're comfortable in the warm Texas summers. I'll definitely be buying more.
"will never buy another sock again" 12/13/10
Best sock ever!!! Smartwool products have never let me down, they comfortably hug your feet in all the right areas, they are amazingly warm in the winter, and keep your feet dry and cool in the summer. I first put on a pair 7 years ago and have never bought another brand since, they last a long time too. As well being super soft, Ive worn a pair on multi day backpacking trips and they don't get funky at all, you can really beat these socks up, buy, you will definitely not be disappointed
