"Very soft and warm base layer"  12/31/11

I got these for Christmas and they are amazing. I have had bad experiences with previous base layer bottoms. Every base layer bottom I have previously ordered had holes in them which made it really frustrating....until I got the Smartwool bottoms. I tried them on and they didn't itch at all and had no holes in them. They are a little pricy, but when it comes to a quality base layer it is well worth the money. I have not had an opportunity to go backpacking in them, but after wearing them outside and around the house I have no doubts about them performing well.

"warm and light"  04/15/11

These pants are great. They are lightweight and not bulky, however they are good quality, provide great warmth, and are very comfy. I wear them under shells for layering, but also by themselves around camp. They are definitely a good baselayer pant for colder climates.

"So comfortable"  01/18/11

When I wake up I don't want to take these off but normally they'd be a bit warm for hiking. They work well for me at night for pushing my 30 degree bag down into the 20's without shelling out for insulated pants. They're not itchy at all IMO either.

"These are some sick man tights."  05/30/10

Not gonna lie. I usually don't wear pants over these. They are really warm and attractive. Though I don't suggest wearing them to the prom, especially if your date is a super fox.

"Amazing!"  04/15/08

I'm only half joking when I say these revolutionized my life. I wore them all winter, to bed, to work, camping, everything. I hardly ever took them off. Warm when I needed it, soft, and they don't ever smell.

"Quality baselayer pant"  03/12/08

These are my go-to-baselayer whenever I'm heading out for cold weather activity. Comfortable against the skin. From high aerobic snowshoeing to alpine climbing and cold belays, these keep me comfortable and without smelling funky.

"Stick with Capilene."  12/12/07

Clingy, thick, more expensive, and not as warm as Capilene. I'm returning the pair I just bought because they aren't even as warm as my Cap 2 bottoms..

"Sweet Sweet Long Johns"  11/14/07

This is a great product! It has kept me cool in not so cool weather even though its a midweight and although I haven't tested it in the cold yet, I'm certain I will stay warm. They will easily keep me warm down to about 30 in my 40 degree bag. Or at least I hope so. Thats what I'm banking on for this weekend anyways!
