"Run, Run, Run" 12/06/09
My running socks. Mine have several hundred miles on them, and outside of a little pilling, no problems whatsoever. They still retain their shape and still handle sweat very well. I have run in these socks from 90 degrees down to 30 degrees and have very quickly forgotten about my feet, not too cold, not too hot. Great product.

I purchased these socks over a year ago and they are still in great shape. I have walked, hiked, and run over 300 miles in these socks. They have great breathability, plus they are extremely comfortable. Oh, and you can't go wrong with oatmeal colored socks!

I am in the process of replacing all of my cotton socks from department stores with athletic socks and these are the cream of the crop right now. If I could afford 12 pairs of these socks I would wear them everyday. I usually don't like wearing socks, but when I have to, these hold a special place in my dresser. I recently hiked 23 miles in the adirondacks in these socks with trail runners on while carrying a 40+ lbs pack. My legs were tired, but my feet didn't hurt. I just dunked them in a lake and let them dry. Wore the same pair for 3 days with no serious consequences. They do take some time to dry, so lay them out early in the morning before breakfast if you're camping.

If you haven't made the trek over to wool products, this one would be great introduction. In my experience, SmartWool makes the best socks...Icebreaker comes close, but the seems bother me on them. SmartWool socks breath really well, and don't stink up.
"Best athletic socks" 08/05/09
These socks are wonderful for warm weather activities or the gym (or even every day). They keep your feet dry, supported, and comfortable whether running or standing long hours. Love the cushioning, arch-support, and tabs at the back so they don't slip down like other low-cut socks. In case anyone was wondering about this, I haven't noticed a huge difference between these and the women's version.

I run in these all the time and they are great. They aren't too thick, which I'm pretty picky about but they're cushioned enough to provide a snug fit and, it's probably in my head, but I feel like I've got better arch support in them. They're great year round and the tops are thinner than the soles which I guess helps your foot breath. They're real good at moisture-wicking and my feet haven't gotten hot in them yet. I used to only wear Thorlo roll-back socks to run in, but these are much better in every aspect.

These socks have a great fit and very comfortable but are a little too short and I don't really care for the lip on the back of the sock. Also, many of the tongues on my shoes go higher than the sock on the front of my ankle and can irritate the skin. I would recommend the mini crew over these.
