I purchased these socks over a year ago and they are still in great shape. I have walked, hiked, and run over 300 miles in these socks. They have great breathability, plus they are extremely comfortable. Oh, and you can't go wrong with oatmeal colored socks!

"I wish I had more of these socks." 		          10/12/09
I am in the process of replacing all of my cotton socks from department stores with athletic socks and these are the cream of the crop right now. If I could afford 12 pairs of these socks I would wear them everyday. I usually don't like wearing socks, but when I have to, these hold a special place in my dresser. I recently hiked 23 miles in the adirondacks in these socks with trail runners on while carrying a 40+ lbs pack. My legs were tired, but my feet didn't hurt. I just dunked them in a lake and let them dry. Wore the same pair for 3 days with no serious consequences. They do take some time to dry, so lay them out early in the morning before breakfast if you're camping.

"Best athletic socks" 		          08/05/09
These socks are wonderful for warm weather activities or the gym (or even every day). They keep your feet dry, supported, and comfortable whether running or standing long hours. Love the cushioning, arch-support, and tabs at the back so they don't slip down like other low-cut socks. In case anyone was wondering about this, I haven't noticed a huge difference between these and the women's version.

"A pair of socks like these are worth the $$" 		          06/30/09
I run in these all the time and they are great. They aren't too thick, which I'm pretty picky about but they're cushioned enough to provide a snug fit and, it's probably in my head, but I feel like I've got better arch support in them. They're great year round and the tops are thinner than the soles which I guess helps your foot breath. They're real good at moisture-wicking and my feet haven't gotten hot in them yet. I used to only wear Thorlo roll-back socks to run in, but these are much better in every aspect.

These socks are very comfortable, very absorbant and allow my feet to breath. I recommend them to any active individual. Inactive people don't need no stinking socks.

"Not my favorite" 		          05/26/09
These socks have a great fit and very comfortable but are a little too short and I don't really care for the lip on the back of the sock. Also, many of the tongues on my shoes go higher than the sock on the front of my ankle and can irritate the skin. I would recommend the mini crew over these.

As expected from Smart Wool, this socks do the trick. They give comfort while hiking/walking/running, but aren't too bulky. They also aren't too short at the ankle. I already purchased several more pairs!

I have the north face 104 trail running shoes and they are a great match up. The back of the sock is shaped perfectly to protect from problems with blistering and sliding. Very, very comfortable and luckily I can justify the money spent. The one thing to keep in mind... GO WITH YOUR INSTINCTS. I have a 9.5 men's foot, and prefer the medium fit over the large

"Good socks" 		          03/14/09
I can pack lighter with a pair of these and a wick-away shirt and boxers. That said, it's hard for me to honestly tell you what the difference between these socks and any other sock are. Nevertheless, the marketing I've fallen for has convinced me that these keep me less stinky. So, that's what I'll go with.

I bought these socks for my boyfriend and he loves them. He loves how there is different material throughout the sock to suit specific parts of his foot. He also likes how the little fabric flap on the heel keeps the socks above his shoe. Sure beats those little fluffy balls on the heels...

I love to wear these socks with a pair of sneakers or hiking shoes. They are ultra comfortable and with the major low rise, you don't look like a total dork wearing them. They also keep your feet from sweating or at least feel like they are sweating. All in all, the best socks I've ever owned.
