"Almost" 03/22/10
My Zagori has a flexible rod (not the new aluminum pole) that holds the rain cover & screen off your face along with a weather proof vent. The REI Minimalist only has a screen which lays on your face (bad). The Zagori is heavier, but no additional shelter reqd & it keeps that screen off my face. I never used the Zagori in the rain (so the rain cover was never fully closed), but I did use it snow and trail camping. There was light condensation on my down bag, but the REI bivy had it too. Condensation can be worse without it. I don't like my Zagori bivy because it is not large enough in diameter to let me get dressed inside like my REI minimalist & I'm 5'9", 150 lbs & flexible.
