"Great product but do buy the next size up, even with small feet." 03/29/08
Have the downs let us down in size? I had to send back my first set to get a larger one, my regular size for years was too small! Perhaps the company should just size them that way. My old booties, correct size and fit lasted for years, the bottoms wore out, but not the tops. That's a great bargain for the price. My only problem with these is the strap they have inside the bootie to help hold it on, feels too tight.I wish they made these with an adjustable strap. So the new goal is to see when it stretches enough but the booties are warm and toasty, so they stay with me.
"Did not fit well" 01/03/08
I bought these booties but ended up returning them - even though I purchased the right size for me, for some reason they did not fit well not-enough-room-for-heel kind of a thing and I suspect it is due to the cut/design. I also didn't particularly like the fleece lining becasue feathers from the inside are more likely to 'escape' through more porous fleece lining material.

I BOUGHT THESE DOWN BOOTIES WITH THE HOPES OF USING THEM TO KEEP MY PERPETUALLY COLD FEET WARM AT NIGHT WHILE BACKPACKING. I FIGURED ON THE RARE NIGHT THAT IT'S NOT SO COLD IN THE TENT, I COULD BALL THEM UP AND MAKE MYSELF A NICE DOWN PILLOW. HOWEVER, I WAS SAD TO DISCOVER THAT THEY ARE MUCH MORE BULKY THAN I EXPECTEDBLOCKEDKEYWORDTHE SOLE IS MADE OF SOME KIND OF HARD FOAM, NOT MORE DOWN, SO I CAN'T PACK THEM UP SMALL OR BALL THEM INTO A PILLOW. THE HARD SOLE ALSO MAKES THEM AWKWARD TO SLEEP IN. SO, I HAVE RESIGNED TO SIMPLY WEARING THEM AROUND THE HOUSE, BUT I FIND THEM DANGEROUSLY SLIPPERY ON MY HARD WOOD FLOORS. ALL IN ALL, KIND OF A DISAPPOINTING PURCHASE.

These booties, which I wear around the house as slippers, are the absolute best I've ever owned! Our home is up off the ground, so the floors are very cold in the winter time. Up until I received these booties, my feet used to be cold all the time, but not anymore. My husband has owned a pair for a little over a year, and he also loves them.

My daughter took these to Slovakia (it's real cold there) and loves them! She is wearing them as slippers. They are warm and comfy and she can wear them outside, too, but she usually wears her knee-high waterproof snow boots outside instead. :)

I am the kind of person that is cold no matter how warm it is, and these booties come in handy for me whether I'm sitting around the house or snow camping. They are perfect in the tent and I have even worn them inside my sleeping bag. Light enough to take backpacking and stuff easily. Can you guess what my friends are getting for Christmas?

Saw these on the way to the cyber-checkout line (one of those impulse purchases) and, knowing how the missus is always trying to keep her feet warm throughout the winter, thought it was worth a shot. When we got them out of the box, she put them right on her feet, and the "oooohs" and "aaaaahs" started immediately. She loves them and is looking for excuses to wear them. I only wish I'd saved them for a stocking stuffer!
