the strongest, lightest hard core tent availableWe used this tent on Makalu. We had it all: hurricane force winds trapping us for days, meters of snow fall, ice fall and an avalanche. The tent survived it all (literally it was buried by an avalanche and we dug it free with no damage done). The fact that there is no vestibule, just a big open space makes this so much liveable in extreme conditions. Climb in with your crampons on (there is zippered hole in the floor perfectly positioned for this). It is designed for setting up in storms or on tiny ledges. Compare this to any other tent in its class (3 person, mountaineering) and you find it the lightest roomiest and strongest. I'll be using it again in Alaska this year.
