"My luxury item..."  12/21/11

I have had this tent for 5 years, I tried to go lighter with a trekking pole tent, but I keep going back. I just like it enough to lug an extra pound. Mine is about 3.8 lbs. I use it as a one person tent so there is enough room for me to regain my sanity when the mosquitoes are insane. It gets top points for easy set up, ventilation, and compact stuff size. I bought my son a similar tent from Mountain Hardware, got it in the mail and was dissapointed at the packed volume vs the Clip Flashlight. Sent the MH back and shelled out a few more for another Clip Flashlight because life is too short not to have the right gear.

"I love this tent"  12/18/11

I also have a Big Agnes UL fly creek2 that is over a pound lite"r but on shorter backpacking trips I take my old freand the clip flashlight. I't roomier and I just like it more I have spent atleast 60 nights in this tent in rocks-snow up high -down low you name it with no proublems.I got the Big Agnes for my 2012 Pacific Crest Thru hike for it's liter weight but if they weighed the same I would take this one no question. "Works well for me."  11/16/11

Unlike some others here I find it has just enough room for two. The lower volume makes it warmer in freezing weather. The quality of the materials and stitching is excellent. I prefer a tarp tent in summer because it is much lighter, so this is my snow camping tent. i have had it on a dozen trips or so and in rain, on snow and to works fine. I have not had it in high winds. The manufacturers weight is lower than actual. With tent poles, pegs, stuff sack, fly mine weighs 77 ounces (4,13) and 55 ounces fast pack with footprint (3,7)

"Simple setup and light!"  08/29/11

Bought this tent nearly two years ago and it has held up fantastically. As others have mentioned it is a bit of a squeeze for two, but it is managable.Even the first attempt at setting it up was a breeze and it sets up and packs up quick.

"Nice, light, backpacking tent"  06/25/11

I use this primarily for myself. I'm 6'1" and I fit fine in this tent. However, if you try and use this as a two person tent, you both can't be over 6'. In all honesty, it would be a very tight fit for two people, although I'm certain it could be done.I love this tent, its rather sturdy, has held up well for me, and is "light" for the price. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a backpacking tent, this is the one to get.

"Light + Easy + Small = LOVE LOVE LOVE"  06/23/11

This tent is a breeze to set up, its light and compacts nicely. To save room, I ditched the included sack and separated it into two small stuff sacks. My poles roll up in my bedroll. The tent is extra roomy for one and is cozy for two small/medium sized people (I'm 6'0, 170lbs and my is 5'7 maybe 110lbs). The vestibule is nice and roomy and the rain-fly held up to 2 days of continuous rain on my last trip. If you buy a footprint, you can go super minimalist and use it + the vestibule for an ultralight shelter! The tent is also quite easy to find in the dark. The only downfall I can think of is that this tent is not self standing, but the price and weight makes up for it!

"Great Lightweight tent for the money!"  06/16/11

The tent is easy to set up and surprisingly roomy. It's super lightweight which definitely comes in handy on longer backpacking trips.

"A classic backpacker!"  04/16/11

I have had a SD Clip Flashlight for almost 15 years and it is still performing like a champ. I think it is more of a 1.5 person tent, but two can fit if you don't fear encroachment on your personal space. I have used mine in the heat of summer in Shenandoah NP and snow storms in northern Michigan, and it held fast. It's important to guy-out the rain fly in order to avoid some unwanted condensation though.Great tent that has been around for a long time!

"Balancing cost and footprint to weight, this is a "Best Buy" tent."  04/14/11

I have been a Scoutmaster for a Boy Scout troop in central Texas for 11 years. This is the primary tent I have used on several hundred nights during that time. It is easy to set up and take down but must be staked down. That has never presented a problem even in the rocky hill country of Texas or several trips in New Mexico and Canada. It holds up extremely well in wind and sheds heavy rains as well. I have not been in it in heavy snow but those I know who have, complemented it.
