Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well thought out design works exceptionally well. I have had this pack for at least 7 or 8 years. I have used it both for work and recreation. For work I use it to keep my phone, wallet and other items dry while collecting water samples on lakes, and while wading in creeks and rivers to collect water and biological samples, often with the pack underwater for long periods of time. Recreationally, I wear it on the outside of my sprayskirt while kayaking for my phone and wallet. I have yet to find water inside after having it inundated at work or at play. Another reviewer had an issue with water in the pack; I'm not sure if this is the case with him, but many folks will squeeze the air out of a roll-top dry bag when closing it...this is a BIG mistake as it can create negative pressure inside which can draw water in. It is important to close the bag so that there is positive pressure inside which prevents water from entering the bag. I own a number of different size and shape dry bags and have never had an issue with this. This bag has cinch straps attached to each of the faster buckles and it is important to draw these snug. when in use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof I used the hip pak on my Sunfish sailboat to keep my smart phone dry while sailing. My boat capsized and I found myself in the water for an hour with the pak around my waist. It was properly closed. When I was onshore I opened the pak, found water, and a ruined phone. I would not recommend this product. It is not waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a great friend I bought this 4 years ago and have used it heavily in the field ever since to hold my digital camera with long lens. It opens quickly, easily and silently, and is just stiff enough to allow me to slip the camera back in with no fuss, one-handed, and I don't have to close it up to keep the camera in the while scrambling around. I keep it on a fat camera strap, and it rests perfectly at my side, tucked against my rib cage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little bag if you dont carry much. Great dry bag for your small stuff. I have used it a few times on day paddles when all I need to take is my wallet, Adventure Medical Kit and cell phone with plenty of space left for a sandwich and junkfood. I use it daily as well. Keeps my Kindle, AMK and iPod safe in my backpack when I am running around during the day. ,,Pros: ,,Well built, Light weight. ,,Belt is super long.,,Cons:,,Side clips compress bag.,,Clipping it over the top is less water tight.,,Shoulder bag loops are attached by elastic which stretches out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would Recommend it I needed a watertight pack to carry my Nikon D40 with me on hiking and fishing trips. This pack is large enough to carry my D40 and an additional lens or other gear, but also small enough to fit into my chest pack. Or if I want, I can use the Seal Pak by itself thanks to the attached belt. The top rolls down easily and secures safely thanks to the two side buckles. Would recommend it to anyone worried about keeping electronic gear dry when conditions are uncertain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have never used it completely submerged underwater, but I use the pak to hold my Nikon D80 camera when I'm hiking, caving, and skiing. It works great! It successfully keeps out rain, puddles and dust and is super convenient when used as a fanny pack- I always keep my chap stick in the external pocket for easy access. Smaller water bottles fit great in the straps that hold down the water proofing folds. No bulkiness with this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional and versatile I have owned this same bag for so long I don't even know when I purchased it. Every kayak trip or just tubing down the river, it has been my trusty dry bag. Finally the seam gave out. I was thrilled to still find these available and will purchase another immediately!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looks, Works great, and good value! Great product! It looks good, holds my phone, accessories, and i-Pod. It is way more cool than a fanny-pack AND it keeps the stuff dry when I'm biking, at the beach, or in a down-pour. PLUS, its getting lots of fashion-points, too!
