The Sea to Summit eVent Compression Dry Sack. We were the first to introduce a compression dry bag which does not use a purge valve. This innovation uses air permeable eVent® fabric on the base, which allows air to be pushed out of the sack, but water can’t get in. This is a lighter, simpler and more reliable solution than a purge valve. The body is made of a tough 70 D polyurethane-coated fabric. It has a Hypalon roll-top closure like our Dry Sacks and alid with four straps for even compression.

"Bought it because of someone else's review." 05/12/13
"I purchased an XL to do one thing and one thing only: get my Dark Star -20 bag into my Bora 80 with plenty of room to spare. I went back and forth between the Large and the XL and I'm really glad I went with the larger size. The bag material acts like a one-way valve. You can compress it as hard as you want and air easily escapes."I also have a dark star and just wanted something to compress it down and keep it dry.I ended up buying the XL and the L just for giggles. So far so good.
"Great product - keeps my gear dry!" 05/09/13
I have purchased and used various Sea to Summit eVent compression sacks and they all perform great. I never have to worry about my gear getting wet even in the most extreme conditions. I highly recommend these dry sacks.
"Good quality" 05/09/13
I haven't gotten out to use this yet, but it fits my super-sized sleeping bag well and really compresses it down to a more manageable size (I got the XL). I also have room to put other things on top of the sleeping bag. Overall, it feels sturdy, has no defects, and I'm looking forward to trying it out on an excursion. Based on impressions, I would recommend this.
"This is the only compression dry bag to own" 05/04/13
I have been backpacking for over 40 years and tried many different compression dry bags, but this is the only one that will hold up. There are many that are lighter in weight, there are some that say waterproof and do not work well, some fall apart after a few trips, all have there good and bad points. But if you want a quality bag that is waterproof, holds up well over many years and miles, and is easy to clean - this is your bag. I have two and am buying one more. Not only do I store my gear in them I have used them to carry water to camp, washed dished like a kitchen sink in them and have also used the XL for a sponge bath with final rinse.
"It's freakish how well this thing does the one thing it's supposed to do" 03/05/13
I purchased an XL to do one thing and one thing only: get my Dark Star -20 bag into my Bora 80 with plenty of room to spare. I went back and forth between the Large and the XL and I'm really glad I went with the larger size. The bag material acts like a one-way valve. You can compress it as hard as you want and air easily escapes. But let up on the pressure and little to no air gets sucked back in. After sitting on it and tugging on the straps a few times each, my bag is about 1/3 of it's normal size. Slides easily into my pack. We'll see how waterproof it is after it spends some time in the snow, but I have no reason to doubt its performance given what I've already seen.
"Keeps my sleeping bag nice n dry" 02/01/13
Love this dry sack. I use it for my Western Mountaineering Summerlite 32 Sleeping bag. It is lite n super water proof. Couldnt ask for a better stuff sack. Used it on a 5 day backpacking trip in the white mountains. I actually dropped it in a very deep puddle and my sleeping was still bone dry. Love it! Great job as usual Sea to Summit. Thank you moosejaw
"Love it!" 12/16/12
Bought this for keeping my bag dry. The quality is great, although I haven't tested it, I believe it would perform as described. I would not keep your bag cinched down in this for long term storage just in case it affects the loft and make sure you fold it several times before adjusting the straps. Great piece of gear!
"Makes your sleeping bag waterproof and supersmall" 11/22/12
This bag is awesome. I always used to be worried about my sleeping bag getting wet on longer hikes, but with this bag, those days are over. It compresses my sleeping bag into nearly nothing, and makes it 100% waterproof. I recommend to loosen the straps a bit before you jump into your bag, to make the fibers extend a bit though. Also, remember to get out of your sleeping bag before you compress it, otherwise you will get hurt
"The only choice for waterproof compression sack" 10/30/12
We all know sacks are vital to our way of life, but this sack is must have. The waterproof material actual allows air out (with sweet sound effects), but keeps the water out...inconceivable! Smushed my Marmot Col Membrain 800+fill power bad ass fart sack into a dense pancake, making it easily transportable to 19.5k feet. Through rainforests, rivers, tundra and alpine desert, these bags take it on the chin and keep coming back for more. Order the XL, because there really is no reason to order anything smaller.
