"I will continue to use this" 02/13/13
The bowl is compact and easy to clean. The collapsible feature is nice as it allows one to slide it into a thin pocket on one's pack. The volume is adequate as it holds about half of a freeze dried meal (1 serving). It's very good. I will continue to use it on every trip.
"Perfectly Made!" 12/09/12
I just bought one of these. It couldn't have been made better! It's great for hot or cold, collapses small, and has a hard base to keep its shape when you are holding it.I can't think of anything I could change.Andy
"Great for meals on the trail" 07/07/12
This bowl is a great asset if you're going the minimalist route with backpacking. I was trying to cut down on my pack weight and this was a lifesaver. Folds up nice and small yet still holds up to the job. I used it every night on the trail for dinner and it didn't feel like it would fail on me once.
"Good stuff" 01/04/12
That bowl can hold a good quantity of food and it folds pretty small so that it fits in any bag. Easy to clean. Pretty solid. Even thought its not the lightest bowl around, its so practical that I use it all the time.
"Could not get better" 11/26/11
I got the x-bowl and x-cup for a 4 day hike in the Ouachita Forest in AR. Flat out best backpacking bowl you can get. They have been through freezing nights and not cracked, poured boiling water straight in without any damage, and had them wet in my pack for entire days without any growth. The bottom of this bowl is also quite nice as a cutting board. Lastly I am hooked on these and wont be going to the forest without them.
"Good size and easy to clean" 09/08/11
Great packable bowl. It fits the bottom of my GSI Hae Tea Kettle perfectly. Really easy to clean and makes a great multipurpose bowl, plate, and cutting board. Friend of mine bought this to replace his Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl after he saw mine.
"Great Bowl With an Awesome Collapsable Feature" 09/07/11
As someone who likes to pack as little as possible, I was taken with the X Bowl. This bowl collapses down to save space and comes up sturdy when you're ready to eat. I also like the bright colors. I also use the bottom of the bowl as a cutting board. It does tend to retain odors, so wash thoroughly!
"Easy to stow, easy to clean, does what any bowl should do." 08/02/11
I like the collapsible design of this bowl because it makes it super easy to slide down into your pack. The bottom is a rigid plastic that makes a good cutting surface when you're doing your camp-kitchen duties. If you don't need it in bowl-mode, you can just collapse it down and it makes a good plate (also recommended if you are using it as a cutting surface). Cleaning is easy, especially since you can bend back the rubber sides to just lick it clean!
"Great for a travel dog bowl" 07/11/11
I bought this as a dog bowl for when we're on the road. It packs flat and isn't heavy. I imagine it would be great around the camp kitchen too. I would love too see a non-seamed version (ie collapsible sides and bottom are one piece) to make it weigh even less!
