does it's job! fit my bag great and compressed it well. this sack seems durable and well constructed. makes a lot of room in my bag for everything else.
"Works great but I may have pushed it to its limits"

This sack seems really durable and strong. does its job well. I may have tried to compress my sleeping bag a little too much though because one of the strap corners is starting to tear. I hope it holds bc I have only had it for 6 months.
"Exponentially better than the sack my bag originally came in!"

I backpack when I can, and in the past I've noticed a ton of my space has been eaten up by my sleeping bag... Oh no how am I going to carry all my food? Well this compression sack from Sea to Summit reduced the size of that bag by half, and I have to say really opened up my bag. Now I recommend a compression sack to everyone I come across that doesn't have one. Thank you Moosejaw!
Picked up both a small (10 liter) and a medium (15 liter). The small is spacious enough to fit my MSR Hubba Hubba (2 person, 3 season) tent and rain fly into. I'm doubtful the footprint would fit into the small as well, but the tent/fly/footprint would definitely fit into the medium with room to spare. My only complaint is that both bags are the same color . . . a kinda pea soup green . . . Not the most attractive color, but the bag still serves it's purpose. I would have liked it better if the two different sizes were different colors so I don't have to look for the size on the tag to determine which one I'm grabbing. All in all though, looks to be a pretty solid little bag.
About to thru hike the AT and this is a MUST have. Put all my cloths I plan to carry with me in this and it squashed it down to the size of mini-popcorn bag (2 socks, long underwear, 2 long sleeve ts, 2 short sleeve ts, 3 pairs underwear, shorts, beanie, and gloves). Pretty impressed with the results. Works great as a container for other things like food and cooking supplies. The medium size that I got I think could almost be classified as a large seeing all the stuff you can cram into it. Would get this if you plan on doing any sort of backpacking from months to days. Extremely helpful!
Great for all kinds of travel: Pack clothes and gear for a motorcycle trip and strap to your bike. Good for sleeping bags and easily straps onto a pack. Winter clothes quickly fill up your suitcase and these sacks remedy the situation.I've had mine for a year and have stuffed them to the brim in rugged situations and there is no sign of seams giving way. The tightening straps are very effective, meaning, you don't have to be strong to squish stuff down. In my opinion, the only downside is if you need something at the bottom of the sack you have to take everything out to get to it. With that said, if you plan for these situations when packing you shouldn't run into any problems.
I now have 4 of theis sacks, 2 small and 2 mediums. They get really really small and I love that the lid doesn't come off of the sack completely, makes it easy to close and compress. I've only used them while backpacking but plan on bring them on vacation to compress my dirty laundry home so I can fit more stuff I buy that I dont need.
"I love it because it helps my sleeping bag to be 1/2 size from the original storage sack."

My story is simple. I wanted my sleeping bag to be smaller when i carry my bag, so i can save some space for my hiking bag. It works and I am satisfied with this Summit Compression Sacks. It works and excellent. Only thing I am going to worry is that how stable this will stay for. However, Mr. Staff says it will last long because that is exactly what I am paying for. I trust him enough. If I have any problem in the future, I will come back to complain. :-)
My sleeping bag went in and when I pulled the straps to compress it down it made it look tiny. Thats when I found out it really did make it tiny when I threw it into by pack.
I have used this sack to compress my Marmot Axiom mummy bag and it has worked great. The medium fit my regular sized sleepign bag perfectly and was able to compact it down quite small to fit the bag in my pack.
