The Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Mat is a air mattress for a cushioned night in the backcountry. This mat is all about the dual layers, creating a total of 548 Air Sprung Cells to lift you off the cold ground and support your body. The top layer can be pressurized separately from the bottom layer, so a firm lower layer can battle uneven terrain while the top layer is all about plush comfort. Just open the top lid of the multi-functional valve and push the orange button for the firmness of your preference, then dream away. The R-value of 2.5 makes for a warm night while a small stuff sack size of 4"x6.5" allows you to pack light.
FEATURES of the Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Mat
Dual layer design ensures a level of built-in redundancy; if you do end up with a puncture in one layer of the mattress, the other layer remains fully functional
Multi-function valve for easy inflation, deflation and fine tuning of air pressure
40D rip-stop nylon face fabric offers the right balance between weight and durability
Extended storage instructions: mat should be laid flat, folded as few times as possible with valve open

THE BEST OF ALL WORLDSVertical air pockets, horizontal air pockets, these air cells are the best of both. I purchased the rectangular sleeping pads (both regular and large) because I like having leg space. It's slightly wider when and a tiny bit heavier than my Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Camper Sleeping Pad but folds up to the same size if not ever so slightly smaller. I LOVE how each cell is like its own individual air bubble, unaffected by the change in pressure of the other cells. That means movement in my lower body won't increase the air pressure in the pad around my upper body and vice versa. I also love the 2 valves and the little button that slowly releases air if I need it. I've been a long time user of Therm-a-Rest air pads but no longer. Hello StS Comfort Plus Mat and BEST air mattress I've ever slept on.

The Folks at Backpacker are right! There's a reason why Backpacker mag reviewers awarded this pad Gear of the Year. It's really comfy and it inflates and deflates very easily. It doesn't take up much room. Your can always count on Sea to Summit for awesome product design.
