The Sea to Summit Alpha Light Short Spoon. The Alpha Light Cutlery uses a durable hard-anodized aircraft grade aluminum combined with a sleek yet- strong shape to create an extremely lightweight utensil at a surprisingly affordable price. By hard anodizing the aluminum it forms a kind of "exoskeleton," so the shape of the utensils can be slimmer and lighter. This hardened shell also encapsulates the aluminum, so there's no risk of the alloy leaching onto food.
Alpha Light Cutlery is available in two sets. The two-piece is the ultimate lightweight backpacker's set. Also available individually: fork, knife, spork, regular length spoon, the unique and ultra light SHORT spoon and the popular LONG spoon. The long-handled spoon design is perfect for eating out of individual camp food packets and using tall pots now popular with the Jetboil-shape stove/pot kits.

Great spoon - love the flat shaped endAt 7.7g actual the spoon is lighter than some plastic wear. I love the squared off end since it works well scraping the last bits of food off the bottom of my TI pot. Its a bit short so it may be tricky eating out of some containers. The long version is huge but for some reason the regular length doesn't have the flat shaped end like the others.
