Great intermediate to advanced level shoe! I wear mine a size up from my street shoe and it makes an awesome comfortable performance shoe. I can spend an entire day at the crag in them but I can still use small foot chips on very steep 5.12's. Well worth the money, don't bother with a super aggressive shoe like the Solutions because these will accomplish exactly the same thing and you'll be able to wear them for hours at a time on a multipitch. The lining feels great on your foot and I spray mine with Lysol and they never smell. Super durable, I had them for about 8 months of heavy gym use and sport climbing(with bad footwork) before they needed a resole
When i first purchased climbing shoes I thought long and hard about what I wanted..It is a tough decision and quite a commitment... The decision was hard, but I made the right choice.. The Vapor V are the perfect shoe whether you have been climbing for 7 years or its your first time.. The down turn is aggressive enough for you to have a great edge on the slab or overhang.. These shoes will mold perfectly to your foot like no other climbing shoe that I have owned.. Grip on the rubber has never been an issue, and you can heel all day in them if you like!!!Of my three climbing shoes I wear these when climbing outdoors. -Time has left its mark on them...stench.. Ventilation is left to be desired as would any all leather/suede shoe, and I didnt pay know what i know now. The stench factor however is unavoidable.. because when you are in these shoes your going to start working harder.. So make sure to pick up some cedar/ powder and leave them in the sun when not in use!!
These shoes are great, they are grippy, the suede is amazing on top. The fit is spot on( I ordered a size and half down) they are breaking in nicely. I've used them mainly for bouldering in a gym but have used them bouldering outside. I love the 2 straps for securing them. They have kept the down turned toe very well. Te vibram xs edge is some of the best rubber for climbing. Overall these shoes are extremely nice and a good choice for all around climbing shoes.
