"Great mid range shoes" 10/27/12

I just upgraded from rental shoes to these bad boys, and they are pretty fershizzlin. Normally 10-10.5 street shoe, I am in a 9 with these, stretching will occur so it doesn't feel like the shoe is eating your foots face off like a zombie munchin' on brains. Toes great, top rope and boulder. Really great pair of shoes.

"Sick Shoes for Intermediate" 10/27/12

I just got these badboys and and are pretty wicked. I actually went from wearing gym rental shoes to these, and they are 10x better. Toe great for mid range shoe, good top rope and boulder. I normally wear 10-10.5 street, I'm in a 9 with these, a bit of stretching will occur so your foot is not getting raped for too long.

"Pretty rad all-around" 05/15/11

I wear 9.5 street size, and sized down to 8.5 (41.5) in these guys. No dead-space in the heel (like in my 5.10 Moccs), and not too wide or narrow. The rubber isn't the stickiest I've ever used, but hasn't posed an issue yet. I've climbed plenty of smears and cracks with these, and haven't slipped yet. Pretty stiff, but not to the point of pain. Will not stretch, so size wisely. Probably the most well-rounded shoe I've ever used.

"These shoes are great! very comfortable all around shoe." 04/21/11

I have been climbing with these shoes for about 7 months, for those not familiar with Scarpa you usually downsize 1 to 2 sizes from your street shoes. I went down 1.5 sizes and I am pretty happy with the choice. They have not stretched significantly so make sure that the fit is correct before you purchase. The shoes offer great grip and are comfortable enough to wear all day. Only problem is that they seem to wear down quickly especially if using at the gym. They work well in overhangs but not so great on slabs and being a beginner it took me sometime to get used to the lack of stiffness compare to my previous shoes. In any case, I ordered a new pair since I really like the feel.

"Comfortable w/ wider toebox" 10/11/10

These are my first climbing shoes and were the most comfortable ones I tried on. I wear 12 US in street shoes, and most other brands were way too tight in the toe box. The Defy were the only other ones that felt do-able. While not aggressive, these shoes still smear great and at my level of climbing, I know that my shoes will not be holding me back for a long time. Suede construction, so they don't stretch much, but definitely fit my feet better after 3 days of climbing. Velcro is also awesome to let me feet get a break on mutipitch routes.
