"Lightest plastic boot around"  04/12/12

I got these for a trip to Alaska based on a friend's recommendation. After that, I bought my friend a beer over the great recommendation. These are way lighter than any other plastic boot, but the intuition liner gives you a ton of warmth without the added weight and bulk. Relative to other plastics, they're very precise on technical terrain. Fit is pretty accurate - I'm a 14 in running shoes, but lots of boots are oversized. these aren't (14 fit me great). It's a bit big in the heel, but I have narrow feet.

"Construction Not What I Expected For A $400 Boot"  12/19/11

Boot was painful as hell for the first day, but either the boot or my feet adjusted after that. The boot did what a mountaineering boot does. It was light & kept my feet warm on a pretty cold summit morning on Aconcagua. However, the liner is way too flimsy for wearing in camp (hasty midnight pee runs) & was torn up pretty quickly on the rocks. Also, the laces felt like they would tear after only a couple o days. Didn't think I needed to take spare laces on a brand new pair of boots, so constant worries that the laces would snap. Consider beefing up the liner with layers of duct tape or take separate camp shoes/take a couple of pairs of boot laces.

"Boot runs VERY narrow"  06/18/11

I had read before that these boots run narrow, so being a size 11.5 US sneaker, I ordered these in size 13 US. I was stoked when they arrived because the overall quality in the boot felt unreal. However I was quickly disappointed when I tired them on because they squeezed my feet so bad they hurt after walking around for 3 min. Luckily moosejaw has an AWESOME return policy, especially with their pre-paid shipping labels. I had to order a different boot and had them in no time.

"Best mountaineering boot ever!"  01/31/11

I have climbied in Scarpa Inverno's and treked in Koflach Degre and these are the best boots by far. I used them in the white mountians at -15 (that is 15 below Zero) and my feet stayed warm all weekend long. I highly recomend them to anyone that climbs or winter treks.

"Out-of-the-box awesomeness"  12/15/10

These boots are awesome! Never had a blister or hotspot, always have warm cozy feet. I used these on Mt. Rainier in June, and on Cotopaxi, Cayambe and Iliniza in Ecuador this fall and they were everything that I needed and more, for a way better price than the competition. They are a little narrow but the liners seemed to adjust well to my foot shape. They are light too!

"Good quality construction but the fit is uber narrow"  12/12/10

I oversized by 2 full sizes compared to my Koflach boots. The liner is an intuition, but it's not as heavy duty as a stock Intuition Denali liner. If you have narrow give'em a try, they were built for you!

"Warm, Light, Awesome."  12/09/10

These boots are great. Almost a full pound lighter than the Inverno, and just as warm they are super versatile. Great for ice climbing and long mixed alpine routes, but also good for timely expeditions. Molding the liners to your feet helps a whole lot to make these boots even more comfortable. Did not experience one bit of shin bang. I highly recommend, and plan on buying more of these in the future.

"Precise and Light"  03/11/10

I sized these a little small hoping that molding the liner would take care of the fit and leave me with a well fitting dexterous and precise boot. Worked out perfectly. My toes are very close to the front but they never bang into the front when kicking, because the rest of the liner fits so perfectly and keeps everything in place. I used to have to tape up my heels to prevent blisters in other boots, but I don't have to in these. No heel lift because of the moldable liners. Basically these boots are warm, precise, and on top of that they're light. I love 'em.

"fire feet"  03/04/10

I bought these on sale and am very pleased with them. First off they are lighter then the inferno's and run a little bit smaller. They are very comfortable for double boots and i have worn them on long days and never got blisters. I soppose the are warm, i have heard from friends and other reviews saying they are very warm but i must get cold feet easy because mine got cold in 10 degree weather with medium weight smartwools and my feet got cold. Overall they are the best in its price catagory.

"Plastic that climbs like leather...Pretty SWEET!"  09/11/09

You would think that these boots are leather or MOOSEJAW hide; however they are plastic. They climb extremely well for a plastic boot with a good range of flexibility and feel, which is unusual for plastics. The inner shell is form fitting and keeps your tootsies warm and dry even on extended trips at high altitude (like Denali!!! Been there, summit'd that in these boots). After a season in these I would say they hold up rather well.
