• Rock Climbing Shoes - it is recommended you size down 1/2 to 1 full size from your casual shoe size.

• Mountaineering Boots - size up about 1/2 size, depending on your desired fit.

• Ski Boots - Scarpa ski boots are measured in Mondo sizing. Neat. Please note that many boot sizes will share the same size shell, while the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. Some skiers may want to size down up to a 1 full Mondo size, depending on their desired personal fit.

Unless otherwise noted or converted for you already in the size options, all Scarpa non-plastic footwear uses European sizing
1 Euro whole size = 0.26 inches
1 US whole size = 0.33 inches

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scarpa Italian Made Boots eock This boot not only is stylish it is rock solid. Scarpa boots are well made and comfortable out of the box. For me, I have found break in time to be minimal. The lugs on the soles offer great traction when heading back down Half Dome or heading down the AT with a 40lb Gregory Palisade 80 strapped to your back. You stay on your feet and not on your A$$.,,I own other Scarpa boots and if I have one issue, They seem to run narrow for us fat footed American's or maybe Italians have tiny feet IDK. That said I always buy a half size larger because I don't want my toes smashed up in the front of my boots heading downhill.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid all-around boot for anything from a day hike to light mountaineering Scarpas last until beyond the apocalypse, and they're comfy too! The main selling points for me on this boot were that they a) looked a lot like my old scarpas b) had a gore-tex membrane and leather upper and c) had a rubber toe bumper for scrambling around on rocks and stuff. On its first trip this boot did not disappoint. I crossed a few rivers, and the sole gripped the slippery rocks well, and the waterproofing held up well. The leather/rubber showed no signs of wear after a week on the granite of the Cp. anadian shield. I have a fairly low arch and foot on the slightly wide side, and these fit me fairly true to size. (Men's 45.5). Do give them at least a week to break in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality boot that has just replaced my slippers and old boots Just got these boots & they are the best boots these size 12 feet have ever worn. Upon opening the box I was impressed by the level of craftsmanship. The meticulous attention to detail is obvious in the stitching (inside & out), materials, & styling. Slipping them on for the 1st time was plug & play with virtually no breaking in necessary. The inside is completely lined with a continuous lining that is free of blister causing seams. These are the lightest boot that I have ever owned. In fact, while I am writing this in my bed, I am wearing them instead of my fuzzy slippers because they are that comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light Weight, Great boot... not for wide feet. I am an avid backpacker and chose to try these Kailash GTX's as my boots. IMO footwear is one of the most important part of hiking/backpacking so I bought these boots due to their high ratings. I was initially very impressed with them. They are light, waterproof, have great grip and are comfortable. To my disappointment, my feet (not terribly wide, but not skinny either) pushed the sides of the boots out just enough that during one trip through the Grand Canyon they began falling apart.,,Scarpa replaced my boots free-of-charge. I re-enforced the seam whose stitches had pulled out (i reenforced them with superglue). The boots have been in use for a little while not without any signs of wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On the trail this boot is like have a contiuous foot massage. Tough, rugged, BAD! I needed a boot with good heel hooks. I hate landing on my butt when going downslope and the ground moves under my feet. I also needed something that wouldn't leave me shoeless half way from nowhere to somewhere. Tried a Kailash and it was love at first lace. Streams in the Absarokas were running high last summer. We waded knee deep streams every day, walked in mud, snow, scree, brush, and ice; the waterproof features were overwhelmed. But, wet or dry, the Kailash held its shape throughout and was ready to go every morning. Nicked, scratched, and worn they never put me on my butt. Seriously, they are light, tough, comfortable, and look good to boot. All this and never a hot spot or blister!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed! It's hard to see myself ever wearing a cheap pair of hiking shoes again. I went in to the store and talked with the guy about different options and decided to go with these. I've worn them for a year now, working in forests and wetlands of Michigan. They are very comfortable after some use, not too heavy for a boot like this, breathable and durable. Plus, the GTX keeps my feet dry when walking through wet areas. Definitely recommend these for spring/summer/fall use. They aren't meant for long periods in the snow, but can still be used moderately. And, they still look great after a year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well put together, insane comfort from the box. While exploring the great outdoors, via our built in mode of transportation that take on everything that our egos want us to. Yes, I am referring to those funny looking things attached to the ends of our legs, FEET! Fact is we have to take special care of them. That is why Scarpa is an excellent choice. Superior construction from folks that have boot making down to a science. These boots are durable, light, and ultra comfy with minimal break in required. Your feet perform magic for you, so treat them right by putting them into a pair of these. They will love you for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, Lightweight, Flashy boots I took these boots out the day I bought them last Spring. They were comfortable from the start! These things shed water well, and when they do get wet they dry quickly. break-in time is minimal. The rubber soles have great traction, and the thick rubber toe deflects most of the impact from any rocks I kick into accidentally! Buy some premium insoles, though. You can use Superfeet, or cheaper versions that also work well. I do like the even lighter Vasque BREEZE for light hikes. Often it is good to alternate shoes to prevent fatigue and possible blisters.,, ,,
