"Worth their weight in Cold. get it?" |

| I have used these boots throughout the NW and also on several mountains in Ecuador and on Aconcagua. They are tough and warm. I had issues with my heel lifting a little in the boot at first while ice climbing. But one I broke them in properly and figured out the right sock combo the problem disappeared. I have put these boot through hell and they are still great, Invernos really are a classic. If I were to climb outside of the Americas, it might be wise to consider Scarpa's high altitude liner. As a note definitely bring spare laces. The ones which came with the boot blew apart after only a couple uses. 4mm accessory cord has proven the best replacement. The boot laces and the weight are my | |

"High quality boot, very comfortable." |

| I haven't road tested them yet. Out of the box, the lettering on "Scarpa" seemed to be faded and chipped off, so watch for that. | |

"AWESOME!!!!!" |

| I took them up Mt. Washington in december and they preformed better than i could have imagined. The weather was horrendous, with 90 mph winds, bringing the temperature to a whopping -25. I never felt my toes get cold once while trudging through the thigh deep snow. Even took them ice climbing the next day where they were equally just as great!! | |

"Great all-around boots" |
11/11/06 |
| I've used these boots for winter climbing in California, and summer in Alaska. Denali and Mooses Tooth, to the Palisades and Mt. Mendel's Ice Nine. I got a size small and had thermo-molded liners made. The liners cut down the weight and the smaller size cut down the bulk. Warm and stable, even for edging on rock, these are great all-around boots. | |

"Very good boot for wide feet" |
11/02/05 |
| THE INNER BOOT APPEARS TO BE WELL MADE. THE OUTER IS STANDARD INJECTION MOLDING, BUT GOOD QUALITY. THE PLASTIC HAS RUBBER PADDING INSIDE WHICH ALSO PROVIDES THERMAL INSULATION, BUT I WOULD PREFER A SOFTER HEEL PAD FOR DESCENTS, WHICH I HAVE ADDED MYSELF. THE INNER BOOT BOTTOM SOLE HAS TEXTURED SURFACE TO PREVENT IT SLIDING INSIDE PLASTIC. THIS MINUS OF THIS DESIGN IS THAT YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL IF YOU WANT TO BLOCKEDKEYWORDEXTRA INSULATION UNDER THE INNER BOOT. MY FEET ARE 12.5-13 US AND EE WIDE. KEEP IN MIND THESE BOOTS ARE SIZED IN UK SIZES. I FOUND 12 UK TO BE TOO SMALL AND WENT WITH 12.5UK. THE BOOTS IS NICE AND WIDE IN THE TOE BOX WITH GOOD HEEL RETENTION IN THE BACK DUE TO THICKER FOAM | |

"Great extreme mountaineering boot" |
08/09/05 |
| I've used these for both mountaineering and technical ice climbing and my feet never got cold, they're real warm. The rockered sole makes these better suited for hiking than most other plastic boots. These also have nice deep welts, making attachment of step-in crampons more secure. The only thing is that they seem a little heavy when doing tricky ice moves. That said, I wouldn't trade mine in for anything else. | |
