I love the bright colors of this shoe. The only problem that I had was that they ran a little big so after ordering and receiving them I discovered that I needed to go down a half size for a perfect fit, not complaining about a smaller shoe. The other issue I had and its not even a issues was working the lacing system "locks" when I was half asleep. Not easy but easy to grasp when not so tired. Aside from that the shoes were amazing, comfortable and not something that anyone I know has ever seen before.
I'm big on style and comfort, and these shoes cover both! they are the most comfortable sneakers I have owed, and they make you look great while sweating! The colors are eye catching. They run a little big so I had to order a size down, but other than that, no complaints.
"Hands down-- best running shoes I have ever owned."
I have been running for 8 years and had never been able to find a pair of shoes that did not give me painful blisters on random/awkward parts of my feet. I tried different socks, taping my feet, body glide-- you name it I tried it-- but I still got blisters. I have a small foot but a very wide foot bed so it has been difficult to find shoes that fit nicely. I decided to give these a try and 6 months later I can honestly say that these shoes are GREAT! No blisters, no anything! They are super comfy and lightweight-- plus the colors are pretty fun as well. They are great for trail runs or just running errands. I will definitely be purchasing a second pair! I'm impressed!
bought these originally because i was curious about having draw string laces.. turned out to be a great experiment ! i never want anything other than salomon for my daily shoe. even when i'm on my feet all day, these guys keep me comfortable. i'd say the draw string is a little too long though. if i don't tuck it back in securely it flaps around and can be really annoying. i was surprised to find the locking mechanism keeps its hold and the string never gets loose mid run.
"My shoes are awsome and you are jealous. You know you are."
I have been wearing the Salomon XA 3D ultra 2's for 3 years now (I've worn out 2 pairs and am still using the third) and they are solid working, running/trail running and living shoes that hold up well. I decided to try the XR Mission for a lighter devoted running option. I am very happy with the feel and fit of the shoe in addition to the grip it affords on pavement and trail alike. The shoe does not come up as high around the ankle like the XA 3D ultra 2 and fits more like a typical running shoe. I am also beyond the point of glee with the color pop they afford with purple/blue uppers and neon green cord. My shoes are way too cool for school.
This will be my second pair of Salomon Women's XR Mission shoes. I've always had a wider foot, and New Balance was my usual go to until my boyfriend turned me on to Salomon's. Not only does the shoe just look super cool, and you will get stares and compliments, but they are so comfortable. Your feet will breathe and it feels like you are running on air with support in all of the right places. I was also hesitant at first about the draw string shoe lace; because I know with past draw string experience they sometimes get loose mid-run. But in this case not true at all – the shoe lace stays tight throughout the entire run and keeps your foot in place. I highly recommend.
I love this shoe! It is incredibly durable with a very aggressive sole that makes it a perfect hybrid shoe. I use this shoe for trail running and at the gym. It's a very breathable shoe with a decent amount of support. The downside to this shoe is that it runs a size large and is very narrow in the toe box. I have slightly wide feet, but this shoe is very narrow. Unfortunately this shoe is not offered in a wide.
