The Salomon Men's X-Tour Shoe is a lightweight running shoe for urban landscapes. The X-Tour weighs in at 9.5 ounces, but don't let the lightness fool you, as there is plenty of cushion underfoot for a pleasant, comfortable run. The injected EVA midsole with EVA shaped footbed is where it's at as you're crushing the neighborhood running route. The Contragrip LT outsole is non-marking and grippy, so you can take them from the asphalt, to an occasional dirt trail and even give 'em a spin on an indoor track when the weather too cold for your liking. The Sensifit™ system cradles your foot for a secure fit for the whole run.

FEATURES of the Salomon Men's X-Tour Shoe

  • Upper is made with Sensifit, which wraps the foot with a precise and secure fit
  • Non-marking Contagrip outsole, which is a unique traction technology that provides grip and durability thanks to a genius mix of compound, lug geometry and density
  • OS Tendon technology gives you awesome energy return

If you are unsure of how to find your foot measurement, use the instructions below. You will need a sheet of paper, ruler, pen, and a pair of socks you intend on wearing with the shoes you pick out.

• While wearing the socks, stand on the sheet of paper and place the heel of your foot against the wall. Make sure your heel is wedged firmly against it.

• Use the pen and ruler to draw a straight line just in front of your big toe.

• Use the ruler to measure the distance between the wall and the line you drew in front of your big toe.

• Once you have your measuremet, refer to the Foot Measurement Size Conversion chart above.

• Now treat yourself to a candy bar. You've worked hard today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trail runner supreme I bought these on snowy/rainy day. Although I purchased in Chicago there's a great mtb/horse trail/running trails right outside the city in Palos. Shoes were comfy, no slippage in the heal and plenty of room in the toe box. They held up great on mildly technical terrain. My run was about 55 minutes. I needed to stop but shoes could of kept going. Sizing was true, I were an 11-1/2 in most shoes.Bought these in a 12 as I did with nike road shoes. These will be used for trail running, Xterra triathlons, and half marathon trail later this year in Wisconsin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pair for the heavier runner I am a heavier female runner. I have ran in Nikes (never again would I purchase any Nike for running), Asics, Saucony, and New Balance. I used to read way too much into what shoes to get because I am overweight and these magazines would always recommend these pricey shoes which I was not about to purchase.. I realized that it's not true, you have to try out different shoes for yourself or speak with similar people to get some recommendations. I stopped running for a few months after the marathon I did, but I noticed the weight is already back and more so I have to get back in it.,,,,Light weight, breathable, short tongue, solid soles for the heel lander, shock absorbent for the heavier runners knees, fits true to size, not for flinestone feet. So far in love with these shoes.,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lightweight shoe I was pretty excited to get these shoes as I had been looking for a lightweight trail running shoe and all of Salomon's previous offerings were little bulky for what I was looking for.,,,,I run Xterra races and run up to 10k (on/off road) so I wanted something light and could be used for versatile surfaces ranging from asphalt to snow to rocky, rooted single track. Well cushioned but still had enough spring to it where I feel efficient. I've never had problems with blisters/hot spots because it is almost seam free. Tread sturdy enough to not slip on most surfaces (anything really gnarly might be too much for it) but still runs smooth on pavement. It also looks bad ass and I think I'm going to get another pair just to wear around.,,,,Some downsides (which are minor). The tongue flops around because it is not secured to the laces but I haven't had any real problems with this. Second, if you're into running really crazy techy ultras this might not be enough shoe for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from product is bold with attractive colors rated at A+ & the feel is crazy inspirational & light weight. I entered my work place with "my new shoes" on looking good. Unaware that I was running in the hallway, running late to my assignment. Becoming self-aware that I do not run because of my tender knees, slowing down instantly yet not stopping only to realize that my balance was not compromised or leaning on the stronger leg. I am in day-2 of wearing this comfortable and balance product. I truly miss running and these priceless moments will encourage me take a risk to jump-rope again. My age is 55+ & I promise that I will be alright with taking baby steps towards improvement in these new shoes! There was no usual discomfort while walking for 16hrs in the hallways of a juvenile correctional facility, where I am Transporter. My meniscus injury is most sensitive once body weight is present from impact: running/walking/standing and of course this is my love life we are revealing. I can do without the pain in my knees during loving making and hopefully this product will continue to push me! TY
