Put them through the ringer; feet still dryThese shoes are great, I have beat them up on approaches from The Red River Gorge to Red Rocks and they are still keeping my feet dry and keeping me upright. They come with two insoles for wide or narrow(like mine) fit in the toe box. They feel stiff and secure like a boot but are pretty light. They seem to run true to size. The only problem I have had is that the stitching that holds on the thick protective material that runs around the bottom of the shoe got pretty thrashed on one shoe around the outside edge and began to separate but I repaired with some aquaseal and it seems to be holding solid.

So far, so GreatThe Firetail seems to be a tad large on the size, but with the lacing running from the toe to the heel cup that's hardly an issue. The Vibram sole is great - it has a wide flat heel that feels very stable and has great traction on natural surfaces. The uppers were stiff out of the box, and was pinching slightly at the ball of my foot when pushing off during my step, but about 30 minutes of wearing casually in the house that was all but gone - an hour later, not even noticeable. ,,,,Two hours after they arrived at my door I was playing ultimate frisbee in a rain soaked park - Zero blisters, 100% traction and dryness with the vibram sole and the Gore-tex liner. The tongue is feathered at the top, making it very comfortable. The footbed is solid enough to consider doing some semi-light overnight backpacking. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase and if they hold up will be buying another pair when these expire.

I'm happy with these shoes!Cool looking and comfortable. They run a little big, which is good because you don't want your toes rubbing all day long!
