So glad I went for 'em. Great price and aesthetic, great ride on the mountain.I got to be a fairly intermediate recreational skier about a decade ago and hadn't been for about 5 years. Now I live closer to better snow and have a bunch of friends who snowboard and go regularly to the mountain. Getting back into the sport for me was a more social than competitive decision. After taking these to the mountain for the first time a week ago, I am super satisfied and excited to get back into skiing again. I just needed SOMETHING to get started again, so I don't mind that these were the newest model... back in '09. They're a heck of a lot nicer than the last pair of skis I owned [previously owned, too short, unfashionable.] When I took these to a local shop to get set up with bindings, the crew there were impressed. They basically said, "yeah, they're a few seasons old, but they'll be great!" They are great. I felt good control navigating powder, steep slopes, and even some moguls. Now I just need to practice more!
