This Rossignol S80 Freeride Ski is an all-mountain freeride ski features Rossignol's unique camber profile, AmpTek. AmpTek Freeride, combines traditional camber underfoot delivering power, energy and edge grip with an early rise tip and tail that dramatically improves the turn initiation and flotation in any condition. A sandwiched construction, wood core, titanium laminates and 80mm waist, creates the perfect platform to excel in powder, crud and have amazing grip on the hardpack. The Freeski; 120 bindings comes with a 100mm brake and is perfect for fat skis. The Dual Action toe piece is reinforced in the high stress areas, which improves the overall structural integrity of the binding. The toe piece has a multi-directional, 180 degree, release for maximum performance. The AFD uses a wide Teflon pad which increases friction to increase binding retention. The titanium lateral arms of the Axial 2 Ti heel piece are angled down applying greater pressure to the edge of the ski. The heel has 25mm of elastic travel; the longest travel of any binding on the market. This long travel prevents unwanted pre-releasing, ensuring that your ski will stay on when you want it to. The toe and heel of the Axial; screw pattern is the widest pattern on the market. This wide pattern is a must for wider skis, increasing the torsional interface and creating a stronger coupling between ski and binding. This provides the skier with more leverage and control over the edges, especially on wide skis.
