The Rab Men's Exodus Jacket was originally conceived as a soft-shell option for ski touring, but was transformed into a perfect mountaineering piece as well. Highly breathable and weather resistant, the Exodus is constructed with medium weight durable stretch woven softshell fabric and includes pit zips for when you start to sweat. This Rab men's jacket also features an adjustable hood with a wired peak and roll down closure for weather protection, YKK front zip with internal storm flap and chin guard, multiple calendered zipped pockets, articulated sleeves, and Velcro adjustable cuff tabs. The short cut and double exit hem drawcord help to give the Exodus Jacket a relaxed fit to allow for movement. After older versions have been studied and analyzed, the newest version of the Rab Men's Exodus Jacket has been perfected in technical performance, fit, and comfort.

Considering what I paid for this jacket, easily one of the best value jackets around. Overall a great soft-shell for cool mixed weather days, extremely well suited for blocking out the wind. Amazing hood, as others have mentioned, and I actually find the fit to be excellent -Sizing wise, I listened to recommendations made by other reviews of this jacket and bought a size up since it uses a European fit. I am 6' and 185 pounds and the men's large fits great. The sleeves have generous length, so no gapping when you're working with hands over head. The material is very stretchy but still durable so the tight fit has not been a problem for me.
Everyday I find myself dressed in Rab living here in Michigan. Whether its my Exodus while ice climbing or my shadow hoodie around the house, I'm proudly supporting my future sponsor, Rab. I've had this softshell now for my second winter season. The DWR still beads water off pretty well and the bright orange jacket looks just as vibrant as the day I bought it. 5'11", 170lbs Athletic Build, Medium fits perfect. The arms are nice and long, which is hard to find when buying Mediums.
Since purchasing this jacket, my poor fleeces have seen little time in the outdoors. The Exodus holds true to its name and I have taken on 4 major climbs (14k+) and multiple technical climbing trips. It breathes very well, while keeping me warm and the zip vents in the sleeves allow for body temp regulation. It blocks out wind completely at 14k feet on a summit and is reasonably water resistant. It's softens very quickly, so don't freak about the stiffness when you first put it on. Sleeves are long, but size runs true. I'm 5'11, 165 and I wear a medium. Straight up AWESOME jacket.
