spend your hard earned money on something elseI was super pumped to get this light for my girlfriend because she was in need of a powerful headlamp because we do a lot of backpacking and night climbing trips. The specs on this light sounded to good to be true and for our experience with it, it was. The light was super bright when we first used it for about 30 min in about 25 degree weather skiing back to the car from her cabin. She then used the lock function and the next time we pulled it out the batteries were dead so we thought maybe it got turned on some how no biggy. We put brand new lithium batteries in it to go out for a night climb in about -10 degree weather we had the light on high for about an hour before it started to dim. By the third hour she barely had enough light to make the hike out I had to use my 25 lumen light because hers was so dim. By the time we got home the batteries were again dead. I know cold plays a role in battery life but for a item claiming to have 160 hours of burn time 3 hours just wont do.
